too bad they no longer accepting application for the titanium card, am opting for the GE version. 1% cashback to use on weekdays/ places that don't accept AMEX sounds pretty good to me.
and best part? NO LIMIT on cash rebate! hope my application will be able to go through! |

QUOTE(victorywp @ Feb 25 2015, 07:23 PM) just wanna ask hor, the GE card, there's no limit on the cash rebate and no restrictions on retail transaction (except for those listed as non retail in FAQ) right?i know like the CIMB one they limit the cash rebate, and not all retail transaction can get cash rebate of of the MCC code thingy, which was why I cancel the card. thank you! |

QUOTE(CalvinCLK @ Mar 19 2015, 08:41 AM) i assume it would not be charged as banks already announced of abolishment of the RM50 when I applied it. even MBB 2 cards did not charge me for it when I applied it last year in Dec.supposedly there is a RM50 cash rebate if I swipe 3 times within 45 days from card's approval date but it will only be credited back to me within 60 days though. I haven't receive the said cashback yet so can't say much. |

QUOTE(koinibler @ Mar 19 2015, 06:32 PM) should be 'CS' so far statement for m2c dun have the rm50 gst per card, i applied and got my card in Dec last year. might have been waived off of some cashback promo when I sign up earlier, but that should have been reflected in statement.m2c can't be waived. i mean for ocbc but somehow confuse with citibank. citibank will give back rm50 in the 4th month with min 3 swipe. ocbc got promo running if you swipe 3 times within 45 days of card approval u get RM50 cash rebate, equivalent to the GST, but only will get it in 60 days time. So since belum 60 days, i guess will need to pay for it first |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Mar 23 2015, 11:37 AM) Luckily I didn't terminate it earlier. this ocbc GE card is my backup card for place where amex not accepted and need to buy it during weekdays, count count count I actually spend more during weekdays than weekends lolI got mine after appealed. Until today I'm still not sure why was it so difficult to get this card last time. unlimited 1% CB and no restrictions on mcc is very good in my book |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Mar 23 2015, 11:51 AM) 1% is only good when the amount is big. Else, like RM 100 for RM 1 is really pathetic. i see i seeSince I dine quite often, got a MACH card with Trendsetter package activated for 5%. Other stuff, I will still try to use AmEx whenever possible. i normally have a lot of smaller online purchases around rm100ish-500ish during weekdays, so the 1% do add up quite quickly. a lot of the online international stores don't accept AMEX, so this card is useful for situations like that. my mbb visa can now put aside in drawer and only see the light when I go travel d hahahaha |

QUOTE(nitehawk @ Mar 23 2015, 03:30 PM) I collected OCBC GE Platinum Card from poslaju on 13/3/15; made my first transaction on 16/3/15 and received a memo by mail thanking me for using the card on 19/3/15. But I still haven't received the PIN to register OCBC online. go to any OCBC branch, bring along your IC and credit card for verification. Will need to fill in form. Then they will process and then will ask u key a 6 digit pin code. Use that pin code to create your account online. How long do I have to wait for this PIN? Is there other venue I can go (say branch) to get a pin? I just did mine last week, whole process took me no longer than 10 minutes |

i also didn't receive any SMS about the news. lucky my monthly expenditure on OCBC card don't go more than 1k normally, so still got 1%. Amex is still the way to go, 5x TP better than nothing.

QUOTE(kelvinlzy @ Apr 8 2015, 02:09 PM) still untung another 0.25% mah QUOTE(propusers @ Apr 8 2015, 02:11 PM) all your monthly expenditure on OCBC is thru online? Only online transactions and oversea spending can get 1% after revise i try to pay whatever I can via online with OCBC card, if merchant don't accept AMEX. Mine is the GE, not Titanium, so still ok QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 8 2015, 03:49 PM) Nah, it's OK. I seldom do online transactions. I am not sure la, but I notice some international sites charges an extra handling fee if you choose to use Paypal. Previously don't have. Ugh.Even if I do, I always pay using PayPal or just normal credit card. I applied MACH mainly for my dining on weekdays or places that don't accept AmEx on weekends. Yes, no complaint so far. |

the HLB essential looks good, the T&C for the cashback also seem pretty ok, minimum RM100 swipe per month to be eligible, wait till July then I will cancel my GE card and switch to this.
ocbc is losing a lot of customers! |
