any idea about the recent OCBC's ??365 credit card???

i was asking the call centre regarding my credit card and they intorduced me this new card, sort of like some upgrade....still what's the catch?

During the incident, there was no other people around to help?

Yesterday before I took my flight to KL, I went and try to make a police report at the Airport Police Station, But been told in China u need to go back to the area where the case happened and make a police report at the station which responsible for the said area. In this case East Nanjing Rd Police Station. I did went to the said police station a day before yesterday, but the police want to bring me back to the gangster place which happen just beside their station to confront with them. But I refuse to do so because afraid of my safety since they know my room no and hotel and I still have 1 more day before my flight back.

So at the police station in airport, they told me since I am a tourist and need to fly back yesterday, I am allowed to ask any local people or if I have a friend in Shanghai, and authorize them to submit a report on my behalf at the local police station i.e. East Nanjing Rd.

So is it possible if I can pay your friend or his/her friends in Shanghai to submit my report etc?

I have done with a police report in Malaysia last night, but afraid that the bank will reject and keep asking for a police report in China.

OCBC called today to inform that my application on 9th Apr for the conversion to GE Plat has been approved.
New card will be sent out this week.

Yesterday received call for approval, today received the card already.
Now there a big question. My statement date is 8th and from 8th till today, my existing OCBC Ti already exceeded RM1000 spending.
I guess I will have to wait till 1st May only to activate GE card in order to benefit from the last few days of uncapped 1% spendings ? What do you think ?

Huh...!! how come the CS told me once GE card activated, Ti will automatically become invalid. They gave me wrong info ??

When I applied for the Essential Card, the Hong Leong Bank staff said, all retail transaction except petrol will qualified.

As for Wise Card, let me summon the Expert on Wise supersound

If course, standard retail transaction excluded balance transfers, interest, penalties.

Not sure about easy payment plans.

The card was delivered to me today via PosLaju. Very efficient! Too bad I wasn't home to receive it, need to go collect it.

In that case, I might as well no need to cancel Ti since it is free.
Will keep the Ti for back up online transactions not covered by other cards.

Maybe can include UOB One card in the list too.

So, I will call again later. Which one will be recommended? Card conversion or new card application?

Ive just called up and asked for conversion for my Ti to GE. The first question they ask is whether I have GE policy with me. As I have autodebit for my GE policy to Ti last time, he immediately acknowledged that he can see my record from there.

The CS also said all the autodebit (including other insurance comp) will be transferred to the new card once its approved.  I dont have to muanually trasnferred. Thumbs up and I hope its true.

Er.. I thought GE Plat is 1% for all retail transactions?

Is autodebit for insurance consider as online transaction and entitle 1% cashback?

UPDATE: 1 day after activated my GE Plat, now the Ti card is gone and everything is transferred over.

According to the CS, everything is transferred but I wonder how the third party would know our new CC number. I have my insurance auto debit on either 2nd or 3rd of the month from Prudential. So next week will know if really everything got transferred.

OCBC should give some 0% BT to attract ppls to transfer all the balance over to OCBC then their debt will increase back.
