Just had a look at the R1700BT! Looks good man but way out of my budget. My thoughts are, I'm getting these speakers for temporary use then I'm gonna give them to someone. For that amount of money I might as well invest into proper amp and studio monitors.

Sry double post but actually you know what... after some research, I'm gonna go for the R1280T. Seems better for music like you said after reading more reviews. Doesn't hurt that it looks much better as well.
