Received the Studio 7 today, running it from my turntable and Aune T1. First impression... hmm... not too impressed. Nothing stands out, average performance.
Only other speaker I tried with my desktop is the KRK Rokit 5, that one takes the cake even though it has smaller cabinet and 2 way. For triple the price it better though, haha. Comparison with the Rokit 5 by memory - Studio 7 has lower dynamic range, flabby and rolled off bass, not so sparkly highs, imaging is a little smeared, soundstage is nice though. I'll play with it for a little longer though. I think I need to up the volume a bit for better dynamic range and bass, but I don't wanna disturb others. |
