Plan on changing my desktop speaker, currently using an old altec lansing i bought about 5 years ago for around rm250 and the connection to the subwoofer is crapping out on me.
Was looking at the M3300, M3250 and the C2x. If my budget is below rm350, which would u recommend?

QUOTE(asunakirito @ Feb 26 2015, 12:27 AM) Didn't like the bass sound of the C2X (6.5" subwoofer), not that solid, bouncy and punchy compared to the C3 (8" subwoofer). The bass sound is very subtle, so if you have small budget + does not mind that issue, go for C2X, else go for C3 (recommended). C3X is the successor of C3, has more features (e.g. play music via USB, has headphone output, satellite speaker box made of MDF wood instead of plastic), uses DSP (Digital) but at an additional cost of RM169 which is not that worth for budget consumers. Personally, I don't find them used often so its not worth getting it. Treble on all 3 speakers are good. Thanks for the suggestion. I think i will get the C3... however, i went to lowyat and digital mall and most places do not sell the C3 anymore, the only place I found it in stock is All IT. And they sell it for about RM430 which is rather pricey for an old model. However, I do agree, i had a listen to it earlier and the C3 sounds much better than the C2x to me, especially the Bass. The C2x subwoofer has a rather muddy bass which I really do not like. C3 sounded more articulate and cleaner.

Planning on getting the C3, however, also plan on adding on a soundcard to my system coz i read that many ppl suggesting that the C3 should be paired with a decent soundcard to obtain its true capabilities.
So what would be a good pairing? Anyone has any suggestions? Asus Xonar U3? U7? DX?

QUOTE(power911 @ Mar 3 2015, 12:44 PM) I usually recommend T-Muso PCM2704 just so that you get the bass boost feature in the card to compensate C3 low bass volume Asus Xonar U7 is a popular choice but I don't hear much difference. Never experience DX before. You can ignore U3 and go with the top option instead You should try the C3 with what you have first and plan on upgrades once you got bored with what you have I'm currently using my onboard audio. It's pretty disappointing.. But I will see how it is later.. Im going to get the c3 now. Hopefully it's good enough then I won't need to purchase a sound card/DAC Btw, where can i get the T-muso? and also a Bass boost sounds good, but would there be a noticable improvement for the mids and highs? besides that, is there also anyway i can use this for the C3 and also plug my headphones into it?
