as long as they maintain the demand and build to demand, the price will stay at current price.. once demand more than supply, price easy drop

Why they want to do like this?
People will get frustrated because they can't buy the device easily since it is always "out of stock".

Samsung can do a lot better, but i think the note3 neo just a contingency plan to counter xiaomi..They have dominated the market for far too long,time for the marketing team to work and be creative again 

Their current strategy seems like Google+ / Gmail marketing strategy.
Create a fake impression of supply,  by setting up an initial barrier for entry to build up hype, then open it up.
It may go really well, like Gmail OR end up terribly as in Google+.

No eye see Samsung. Price drop like crazy. It does not matter which price you bought it, still stand to lose almost 1K if you are buying high end model. Better stick with Xiaomi and other China brand. Can buy 2 and give one to wife or parents. Win-win.
