Hi all, discover a very useful tip to reduce stuttering in BF4 even you have a very high specs!

Stumble upon the following web site when I am pissed off with the stuttering

http://forum.cakewalk.com/Windows-7-amp-Co...F-m1861804.aspx

I am using liquid cooling, by turning off the CPU rest in BIOS, running at full 4.3 Ghz all the time also reduce stuttering tremendously.

download msi after burner.

when the stuttering happens, alt + tab out and check ur GPU usage, is it 100% all the time? if yes, suggest that u download driver cleaner, go into safe mode and remove ur driver first.

after that, reinstall 14.4. see whether it happens again biggrin.gif

ok on top of setting the CPU registers, got another solution for micro stuttering issues.

I have used smart defrag tool. free to download from the internet.

In smart defrag, select Battlefield 4 folder, normally: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4. select defrag "Fully Optimize and Prioritize Files" the entire process will take ~ 1 hour, around 40 GB in size.

upon defrag completion, restart your pc.

start bf4 and u should feel the difference.

bumping old threads... would ssd provide better gameplay ?

I notice that there are still stuttering every now and then. and i can hear hard disk activity ... i believe its due to the loading of something was done on the fly and i am just using normal hdd. the stuttering just happened for few seconds then gone repetitively ... very annoying. planning to get an ssd such that the loading can be done faster...
