I'm thinking of playing the WOW game. Anyone knows where is the cheapest place to buy booster boxes?

Yeah, seriously it's cheaper to buy online instead. Even after shipping, it doesn't even go higher than 250 bucks, assuming we are talking about the standard 24-packs per box.

I'm currently playing Magic tcg only. Will look for place to play WOW later after I finish creating my rogue deck, probably a month or two later

I'm bored of MTG already and I'm like semi-active in that game.

Is it possible for me to learn how to play the game, and be competitive to join that SEACC event? Are singles easy to find in Malaysia, or do I have to order some of them online?

But anyway, it seems to me that WOW is much more expensive hobby than MTG. And the mechanics are really different, it'll take some playtest/tutor to nail the rulings down.

Was a great experience drafting WOW for the first time today. Will draft again, though I think the best at the moment is to focus on constructed. There's just so many things to catch up.

I'll try to make it to Taylor's and see you guys tomorrow.

After studying many decklist, I still think Traitor Druid rush deck suits my style. In fact, I've ordered all the cards I needed for the entire deck, save for the Twigs, online but whether I'll receive it by next Thursday/Friday morning is a different story.

Though I think, I'll listen to Ong's advice and take up Warrior. It's best that I get a feel of the game/meta and focus of building a better deck later.

Toybox

Didn't had a deck last Saturday and had to borrow a Paladin deck. Didn't know that Paladin games are reputely to be long and quite painful.

Reserve me a spot for drafts but do bear with me though that since I'm new I'll probably take my time to read every cards in the pack

The deck list looks good except it has some few hard to get cards:
Marksman Glous
Leeroy Jenkins
Twig of the World Tree

Other than that it looks good.

I can get a playset of Water Elemental. From the stock deck list for the Frost Mage deck, it seems that except for Portal, everything else are mostly commons and uncommons. Perhaps this is the way to go?

If it's anything like Faeries with counterspells/tempo, yeah seems me that it'll be a perfect fit. I'll try to come up with the list, and see if the cards can be obtained tomorrow.

Yeah, I'm gonna stop playing Magic for a bit - it's getting too repetitive for me. Besides I truly think that WOW is in some way better than Magic - cheaper and no mana screw.

Well, I guess experience helps a lot. The two games are similar in the first place, and some of the concepts/techniques from another game can be applied to another game. If WOW is anything like Magic, improving your draft skills will improve your constructed deckbuilding/playskills.

Interesting card choices, though it's seem to be a little aggroish.

I'm studying the available card pool at the moment, and try to build a controlish one instead, though I guess it's all up to the cards availability. After the drafts today, I realized how broken Myriam can be if you can fend off the opposing allies. I'm not sure if it's the right choice some of the core card choices right now:
First Responder Avaressa
Vindicator Kaldel
Defender Nagalaas
Xanata the Lightsworn
Water Elemental
and of course, Myriam Starcaller

I think Talian Bladebender could be a good tech against that sextuple and decks packing twigs. I'll probably need to mishmash the deck, do some playtest, and fine tune.

camlok: Yeah, I'm playing frost mage ("Black Ice" Fizzlefreeze).

Xeno: I've already finalized the deck list. Will get the cards from TB, and playtest it later in the afternoon today.

I did 3-4 at the event. I lost to horde warrior, horde paladin, horde fire mage, and horde raesa midrange control. The last match I lost to (Raesa) was incidentally the deck I was trying to build before I finally settled for mage. Overall it was a great experience though too bad there'll be no major tourneys in Malaysia for the rest of this year. I'm actually curious what's the good new is that Ong will only tell us tomorrow.

BTW when I got back yesterday, apparently my druid cards came last Friday afternoon after I left for SG
