i would like extend my current wifi signal how should i do?

Installed VIP10 3 weeks ago.
Everything is fine so far.

Very happy with it until I received a call from Astro just a couple of minutes ago. Sigh.

Planning to subscribe VIP5 soon. Whats the best way to go about it? Walk in, agent or sign up online? Is it true that you pay less if it is done online? (Cut out the middleman). Also is the relocation fee still waived? Any hidden costs I should know about?

Sad because I installed Unifi less than a month ago.
So happy with it. Can do my work smoothly as I use the internet a lot to upload photos and videos and watch YouTube and sometimes download movies.
When downloading movies, I can easily get 1mb. Sometimes up to 1.2mb.

Suddenly Astro offered me RM148 for 10mbps Maxis + a reduction for my Astro bill.

I am currently paying RM395/month;
RM200 for 10mbps Unifi and
RM195 for Astro.

The sales person said I will only pay RM150 for Astro and RM150 for Internet.
So that's RM95 savings for me for the exact same speed.
And he said the Astro will be on Fiber as well so I won't have any problems when it rains.

Haih. I don't know whether I should jump to Astro/Maxis and pay the RM500 penalty to TM.

It will be worth it after 5 months when I recoup my losses but I am not sure if Maxis internet is reliable.
Previously I cancelled the RM118/month Maxis deal at the last minute before installation because of many horror stories here in LYN.

My neighbor opposite my house is using Maxis too and they never had any problems for the past 2-3 years.
Not even once they had to call the CS.
Father works from home using internet all the time and son is a gamer. Always in the house.

if the euquptment is on, it take 24hrs. but if ur equipmnet is off before go subscribe megapack, ita take effect when u on all equiptment

Hello guys, need a help or suggestion here.

currently id moved into my new house and installed my unifi at the hall area. Let say I place them at right side (coz the point already built-in there) of the hall and of course I plan to put my TV there also. But the problem came when we bought a sofa that so huge making it not suitable to place the sofa opposite of the unifi and TV. So we decided to place the sofa at the unifi place, meaning now instead of previously my unifi at right side now i need to move them to the left side. the problem is the cable is not long enough and it will make my wall not nice with the long unifi cable visible.

Any idea how can i settle this problem?

for fiber cable i think not much i can do right because it already installed when my house constructed. or maybe if they can do it will cost greatly.

so i think my option only to lengthen the cable from the point at my left wall to my right wall.

or i heard there is a device which can transmit the data through electricity? meaning i plug one end at my left wall and the exit at my right wall and then connect to the modem. so no visible cable at the wall. is such device exist lol

Has anyone succeeded in connecting hypptv stb wirelessly? I have a OpenWRT router, and I bridged the VLAN600 port over Wifi, but that didn't work. When verifying, it failed at the last step: Multicast connectivity. I also tried putting a wireless router as a bridge between the main router and the stb. (I wired the stb to the second router). Failed the same way.

That leaves me to think, there must be some kind of 'check' by tm that I'm missing. How does tm check your iptv connection? What data does it look at?

P.S. I know of the homeplug solution, but I prefer not to use that.
