ya, we know vpn works. it cost money to buy stable reliable vpn.

after a week, no news, no reaction, no commitment from unifi.

implying... they want customers to pay more for vpn's when they r already paying high price for that speed? unsure.gif

it pops up every time
i suspect it pops up even tho the server I'm trying to contact is on
its as if telekom just route to them for advert money

example i try repeatedly to connect to an oversea website this afternoon
just for it to bounce to their stupid ad page..1,2,3,4,5..10 times refresh STILL THE SAME
i use my phone and type the address in... and guess what. its connected instantly
piece of crap (money grabbing, monopolising) routing by streamyx/unifi i must say
paying so much for their crappy service and now forcing me to read their annoying add again
changing all my dns to google dns from now on

this morning i was trying to upgrade my unifi to vip20 through online portal. during the process of application, it showed estimated price is rm229 as i get rm20 discount for my current package vip10 due to don wan those hypptv package. after submit the application, i called to unifi service centre to double check, and they told me the rm20 discount has been removed and i need to pay rm249 monthly. if i want, they can add back the hypptv package. but they cannot add back the discount and cannot do anything. i was so mad and felt been cheated and i wrote a complaint email to unifi with all the print screen showing the rm229 price during the application to upgrade and cc to mcmc. hopefully there is a solution. so my learning lesson is do not upgrade the package through online portal. sad.gif

Upgrade renew my contract bck to 2 yrs. Come to the worse, I rather pay rm200 downgrade fee, then call them to upgrade again with rm20 discount. 24 months of rm20 is rm480, I still get more saving sigh. This is really bad experience.

It's not your fault. You should fight for your right and not pay any fine.

How could you even think of paying the fine when it's not your fault? hmm.gif

Hello, i wanted to ask. If tm said there is no more quota for unifi, how long does it take for me to have unifi in my house ?

Read from previous post, if you 'inform' MCMC, then things will be going your way soon. whistling.gif

Hey fellow UniFi users, just want to ask your opinions.

I hv been using UniFi for about 2 years now without any problem, but a recent development has made me worried.

You see, I live in a terrace residence, and one day my neighbor decided to extend the back area of their house by building a room over their backyard. My outdoor UniFi cable (black colored, but still thin) crosses over a part of the neighbor's backyard towards the telephone pole with the UniFi box...apparently the technician who installed the line did this to minimize how many bends are in the cable for so called 'maximum speed'. I don't know if it's bullsh*t or not.

Anyway, recently, the neighbor's renovation has finished, and now part of my outdoor UniFi cable goes through a small gap in the neighbor's new wall. A small part of the cable has been covered in a small amount of cement, and at one point during the construction, the optic light on the BTU went red for a few seconds because the construction workers were yanking the cable non-stop. I went out to scold them and explain that the fiber cable is fragile, but they ignored me for the most part and continued to treat the cable as just another obstacle.

Right now my line is fine, but I'm worried that the neighbor's inconsiderate act might have damaged the cable in some way. As prevention is better than cure, and I don't want to wait weeks for a TM response while not having internet access, do you think it's a good idea to call a TM technician over to take a look ASAP?

Sorry for long post, and thanks if you read this.

Should one day you find yourself without internet, who you gonna call? G̶h̶o̶s̶t̶b̶u̶s̶t̶e̶r̶s̶ I mean TM lah of course! sweat.gif

Until then, take it easy. Your 'responsibility' only starts at the modem. Anything before that is TM's.

Hi,

Anyone here using TPLink 1043nd V1 and Homeplugs for hypptv? I have Aztech 1Gbps homeplugs but cant seem to get connection from Homeplug to Router.

There is connection between Homeplug to Hypptv STB though. Hypptv works when connected directly to the router though.

Tried:
a) flashed latest TPLINK firmware
b) all different ethernet ports
c) factory reset and re-connect homeplugs.

Try a different port on your router. One of the port is just specifically for STB only.
