1mbps... too slow for today, somehow share by so many users.
Just consider upgrade to 4mbps or 8mbps.

Using Streamyx 4mbps for home, and Yes Postpaid 68 for mobile internet. Pretty good, just every month see the total bill of RM200... haiz, Malaysia internet service over price.

I'm quite impressed with the ping stability of YES, i can play dota 2 with no packet losses and around same ping as streamyx. I am gonna continue using YES solely for gaming on my side, and no need share bandwidth with whole family, which is happening now on my TM, at least 10 devices using 1 mbps altogether doh.gif

I'm looking forward to see what they will bring us too. Hopefully they allow any LTE phone that support Band 38 and 40 connect to their network.
Then, we got alternative option for data plan on 1 phone! Anyway, there are limited LTE phone that support Band 38 & 40 now... but soon will be more.

QUOTE(Mika @ May 15 2014, 09:45 PM)
Now ppl no more interested in YES 4G already... added somemore they are banning VPN. doh.gif

Just hope they launch fast on their LTE whistling.gif

There are phone that support TDD LTE, eg: OnePlus One, Oppo Find 7a.

QUOTE(coolstore @ May 16 2014, 11:24 AM)
but YES is on TDD LTE, other telcos now on FDD LTE

even if they launch their LTE service, but bundling expensive TDD LTE modem, the likely outcome can be same as current situation

My Yes postpaid subscription going to end soon, most probably will discontinue and switch to 3G with Mifi. No real benefit for me stay on Yes 4G as the coverage is spotty and I only need <1GB for mobile access purpose.

I feel in term of value for money, streamyx 4mbps or unifi still the best in term of price and performance.
Anyway, for low usage people, Yes FIZ really a good option, as streamyx 1mbps need RM110. By the way, if you do a lot of landline phone call, it still worth the $$.

I will terminate my Yes Super Postpaid after end of 2 years contract and switch to Hotlink prepaid 1GB RM30 per month.

QUOTE(donalduck @ May 29 2014, 05:48 PM)
my vpn still doesnt work lol./ regret terminating my streamyx 4mb now. fast as yes go, still controlled by the quota sigh

Browse Yes portal, see they still put RM1688 for their "advanced" Eclipse 4G smartphone with 4.1 inch screen & 512MB Ram..... RM300 offer price, I don't think I go for it.

So troublesome to terminate?
This the reason I so hate to sign-up postpaid service. Before signing up, they tell you this and that, give you all the carrot and everything sound easy and possible.
After signed up, no no no, you cannot do this, you not allow to do this, you must pay for this and bla bla.

This the reason I prefer to stay on prepaid for my phone line, easy to switch and less trouble. smile.gif

i used P1 since 2010...almost four years...i took the modem to their Wangsa Maju Section 2 outlet and told them i want to terminate..the counter girl who have heavy make up on her LCLY face told me must go their HQ at Jalan 222 PJ to terminate... mad.gif

The leak on TM LTE wireless broadband package. RM15 for 1GB (15 days) and RM40 for 3GB (30 days). With this attractive package, I think Yes will highly impact. Great, more players, more attractive plan.

Waiting for YTL to announce the LTE plan for their Yes 4G. 2H of 2014 now, I think they are not ready yet, may be Nov / Dec 2014.

For TDD-LTE, the devices choice not much in market, as China TDD-LTE not ready take off yet, all prediction push out and delay.

Wireless broadband latest news....

Telekom Malaysia has officially launched TMgo, marking its foray into the 4G broadband space. This is a technology refresh of its earlier CDMA offering which aims to provide faster broadband across different segments. The TMgo 4G service is based on LTE running at 850MHz, which is able to deliver download speeds up to 20Mbps.

There are a total of 3 top up options which offers different validity periods and data quota. The minimum RM10 gives you 1GB of data for 7 days while RM30 gives you 3.5GB for a month. For those who use a lot, you can opt for 6GB at RM50 which is valid for 60 days.

----------------------

This make Yes4G look very unattractive and expensive!!
Wake up Yes4G... Please cut your price further for prepaid plan.

I just tried TM Go 2 days ago, my home is  under coverage, quite surprise since TM only mentioned Pendang, Alor Setar and Melaka.
I can get 27 Mbps easily, can get higher speed when tested with Yes server, 32.61 Mbps.
Never dream of my hometown so ulu under high speed internet coverage drool.gif

Wow cool!
Please share more print-screen and your experience with it. Kind of interested and hope they expand their coverage to more places.

Wonder why they never update their website with this new design Zoom device?
Same spec and change design? Or it support LTE version?

QUOTE(jovial @ Aug 9 2014, 07:48 PM)
Does YES have a new modem?
This Zoom looks different. The white may be due to fiz plan but I haven't seen this modem before.

Yes do new promotion for postpaid plan...

Free Acer Iconia tablet + Huddle XS for new subscribers.
Anyway, you need to sign 2 years contract. It is tricky....
I guess their business is bad, thus they need to do this.

MOE ID is 1bestarinet package which is distributed to all of the schools in malaysia. have about 30 - 40gb of quota if i'm not mistaken. they sold the id for their own profit.
*
It to sell to teacher & students??
I am guessing that MOE = Ministry of Education?

I did found some forumer said they got 30-40GB for RM70, can use 1-2 months. And every 1-2 months need to change to new ID, i guess is this plan.
