hello guys. i am checking out the prepaid package but I am a bit confused.

http://www.yes.my/v3/personal/plans/prepai...ternet-plans.do

So according to the website, I already have a device, I only need to purchase a Prepaid YES ID which costs RM30. So my question is, i still have to purchase extra credits to use the data right? e.g. VP98? Or is data included in this RM30?

If yes, then how much is the quota for the data as the website says there's no quota but i'm sure there's a catch some where. sweat.gif Thanks!

how much is ur usage for monthly? if ure a moderate user above 10GB, i do have a solution for u hehe, pm me ya

Moderate user above 10gb here but yes is expensive. Yes fix is good but just for 1mbps and bonded with 2 years contract.. The contract is the biggest problem
*
its Yes FIZ, but not really available anywhere, or else i would get it tongue.gif

contract 2 years mang, damn pain if unsure, but so far my experience is great, so no complain P:)

yes surely is expensive, but performance and quality wise, none of digi celcom maxis can compete,

that said, i do have a cheaper solution for those who doesnt want contract, but heavy user. pm me tongue.gif

Good sirs..I have a question to ask. I was told by a reseller that YES Fiz is not available for Selangor and Kuala Lumpur area and if I were to take my newly subscribed Fiz from another State, it won't work. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks. (currently YES Prepaid user)
*
correct. yes fiz is fixed with static ip. not portable like yes huddle/zoom/dongle.

and ofc, not every area supports fiz too

Hi, thanks for ur kindness.
I tried for many times, plug in and out, restart, struggled for few hours just succeed.
But once I log out, or turn on pc, I need to keep trying for many times, this problem keeps happening.
What's the problem sad.gif

Same problem happened whenever I install driver from Dongle or clean install latest driver from Yes website.
Is this Dongle problem? sweat.gif

I get 3-4 bars of signal, but I placed it with desktop under table, speed only between 1-2mbps, do I need to buy active usb extension and place it near window?
Will this help to increase speed since I already get 3-4 bars of signal. icon_question.gif
*
sounds like ur dongle problem sad.gif

get a zoom or huddle better imo? no need log in , everythings is automatically : P

I just tried TM Go 2 days ago, my home is  under coverage, quite surprise since TM only mentioned Pendang, Alor Setar and Melaka.
I can get 27 Mbps easily, can get higher speed when tested with Yes server, 32.61 Mbps.
Never dream of my hometown so ulu under high speed internet coverage drool.gif
*
i feel u bro. haha, currently staying in keningau sabah, yet getting a very good reception on yes4g, able to get 15 18mbps is quite surprising for me. if only theres no quota limits... owait,

My dongle still under warranty, can I claim?

Regarding zoom or huddle, how does it works?
My sis and I hv 2 ID in total, is it easy to change in zoom or huddle?
*
yeah if dongle not working, sure can claim.

zoom get better reception but need power adapter, not portable.
, huddle is portable wifi.

yes both of u can use each in 1 device,
1 yes account actually can be used simultaniously on two or more different devices.

anyone got yes 4g termination form?

thanks in advance.
*
termination for yes4g contract is ridiculous, what u already signed up earlier is basically ( if u read carefully ) states u need to pay the remaining of the contract in order to terminate, which also meant .. u still gonna pay all those 24months even if u terminate ha!

excuse for this, is coz they gave u the device for free. which is ridiculous but yea, thats how ISP nowadays work right. binding customers as long as they can. who knows withing 2 years what kind of package will we have, yet coz we are already binded, thats it .

anyway if u dont want contract, can pm me directly , cheaper ofc

Hi all, I am planning to rent a house at Malacca, I checked Yes coverage but doesn't in coverage.

yes wont put anything below 5 bar in their website coverage. doesnt mean ur area dont have coverage. best way is to borrow a device from a friend, or rent 1 haha

Maybe I need to bring huddle along when viewing the house sweat.gif
The owner might think I am "fengshui lou", holding huddle adjust here and there laugh.gif

With and without , which is high probability?

*
probability leaning towards WITH coverage. more so if u using yes zoom. huddle is way weaker compare to zoom. lets say u get 3 bar by using huddle xs, ull get 5 bar by using zoom at the same exact area.

hence if u really wanna test, bring both devices lol

*
ive been told we can do the mnp. as u all know 018 number is still very fresh and VIP number is much likely attainable via registeration . i manage to get 1 number consists of 6 zeros
018 600 0006

which if transferable to other telco, worth alot i

According ASUS's website,  YES' GO dongle can be use with ASUS's router .
http://www.asus.com/event/networks_3G4G_support/

So i bought the RT-N66U router and tried it at home.
After inserted the 4G GO dongle, turn on the router and set the userid/password.
reboot, turn off the router and  turn on again.
The status page does show that the router recognize the Go dongle
but it can't get connected to the internet.
Try many times, also upgraded the firmware and tried again but no luck.

While my Zoom router is able to connect without any problem.

Anyone has tried ASUS's router and success connect to YES ? icon_question.gif
*
think some1 did explain how to get asus router to work with go dongle, try scroll back from page 1 haha, i cant remember who but yea, if u got time to read from page 1, some1 did asked this question before.

that said, i rather use a pc and connectify, wouldn it be easier? how much is ur asus router btw

I've checked with Yes Zoom modem and I can get around 4 bars. Do you have any contact for yes store in Kelantan? I've tried the dealer locator and went to a few shops listed in Tanah Merah but nobody have any clue about Yes Fiz
*
theyre not informed by the distributor. hence they have no idea what it is. in short, fiz is not available in ur area just yet ^^
