SMITE is the online battleground of the gods. Players choose from a diverse cast of deities and use their unique powers to triumph over the opposition in 5v5 team matches. SMITE is a new take on the MOBA genre; rather than observing from above the action, the game’s third person perspective puts players into the thick of combat. Instead of clicking the mouse to move, players use the familiar WASD keys to move and fight their way through SMITE’s dynamic battlegrounds.

Mythical Setting
Two teams of 5 players fight to slay the opposition’s Minotaur on an inferno-themed battlefield. But first they must contend with three flaming Phoenixes plus Cyclops NPC camps and the legendary Fire Giant in the jungle.

Power Up
Within a single match, your god levels from 1 to 20, causing your abilities to gain strength. You can purchase in-game items and consumables to benefit your god and complement your personal play style – whether it’s buffing your Magical power, Physical power, Defense or Utility capabilities.

Calculated Strikes
Every attack in SMITE is a skill shot that you control. Ranged attacks are carefully aimed, melee attacks properly positioned, and Area of Effect damage must be ground-targeted. Predict your enemies’ movements and hit your mark for maximum effect in fast-paced combat.

Free-to-Play
Everything affecting gameplay in SMITE can be earned simply by playing the game. Players have access to an initial set of playable gods for free, while additional gods are unlocked through gameplay time or more quickly through micro-transactions. Cosmetic skins can be purchased for further customization.

CONQUEST MODE (TRADITIONAL MOBA MAP)


I just started this game a few weeks ago, and I'm having a huge load of fun. Never had this much fun since WoW back in the Vanilla/BC days.

Currently playing with 250-300 ping, but it's doable.

It's seriously so much fun I ended up spending $30 to unlock all Gods (around 40 or so currently) and any upcoming Gods that are to be released. One gets released every two weeks, and new skins get added on a regular basis as well.

You can tell that Hi-Rez has spent a considerable amount of effort into the detail of this game, changing the perspective of a MOBA and the way it's meant to be played. Not to mention, the in-game interface makes it easy to just hop on and start.

Multiple game modes, include:

3v3 Joust - This mode is basically a mid only mode, with a combination of 3 Gods to powerhouse through and see who's able to destroy the other team's Titan.

Arena - This mode is a 5v5, Gladiator type arena, where the objective is to deduct the other teams points by killing an enemy God, or letting your minions through the barrier of the other team. Each team starts with 500 points, and each minion reduces it by 1, and killing an enemy God reduces it by 5.

Conquest - Traditional MOBA Tri-lane map with a jungle. Objective is to push through and whoever kills the other team's Titan (essentially, the Ancient) takes the prize.

And a few more other modes which I'll leave to your surprise. They have a daily rotation of a mode with a random gist added to it, such as Arena mode with all 10 of the same heroes, etc. This adds a fresh touch to MOBA elements, not to mention the Arena which reminds me so much of WoW!

Game got an 8.0 rating on Gamespot recently. Personally, it's a 9.0/10.0 for me! 1 point off because they don't haven't included a SEA server yet

There are Chinese Gods playable like Sun Wukong, Guan Yu, Na Zha, Chang'e.
Sexy Greek Gods which include Athena, Aphrodite, Zeus, Hades, Apollo, Hercules and the Asgardians, Thor and Loki, and many many more!

i dont think we can get SEA servers but there are still some hope into it. The game is fine for me just that the latency suxs..with 280-400ms latency just kill this game. I am ok with these latency on WoW but not smite due to the combat system is different and requires you actually target your opponent manually for normal atks

It seems fine for me, at 280-300 ping, but once it goes above 330, it sort of becomes unplayable. Can be fixed with Third Party proxy plugins though. I get about 200-250 with them. Just don't play Melee heroes. Pick heroes like Neith, Artemis, Apollo, Ra and you'll be fine.

Either way, it is somewhat easier than Dota 2, but also harder because everything is a skillshot, including auto-attacks. LOL!

China's MOBA developer, TENCENT has taken over though, but it is said to be China only for now. Still in beta testing phase, we'll see if they or Hi-Rez plans to open up one in SEA/Oceania. *Prays*

tried this game before during the cbt period (like 2 years ago iinm).
not like it much back then because it felt inferior to a much older game Cyphers online.
with newer game like Archblade, i dont know if i want to go back to try SMITE again or not.

I start it last week and read it have change alot, now totally different with CBT. god list maybe not that much, currently is 53 if i no count wrongly.
For ping i did not check it but is playable for me.
Try it if u want fast game. mmorpg and fast game is both different type.

Give it a try again! It certainly has changed a lot, but I wouldn't know since I only discovered this game solely from Gamespot.

They've done a lot of overhauls to the game, particularly to the detail, the interface, etc. to make it more accessible.

Glad to see fellow players showing themselves!

It's definitely a different touch to MOBA. I would say it's like a mixture of MMO/MOBA. Quick satisfaction, but with the same amount of PvP action as an MMO. Only thing missing is PvE and Progression of course.

started this early june, like the idea of skill shots and 3rd person view. but feel a little conflicted with playing gods. also wondering since this is a good game, why is it the public hardly know about this game.
already enough favour to buy 1 god, just also don't know which one...

whats your keybind set up? looking for reference, cause I'm so used to A(strafe left), S(forward), D(strafe right) and `for autorun.

and why is some gods are WAY cheaper then any other gods, like Artemis(575 favor), Agni(1250), Cupid(1500), Ao Kuang(2500)?

Its a good game, the god conflict cant help about it ha.
Its a good game, but launch for NA/EU, recently china and latin america also got their own already. since theres no sea or au server so maybe many people dont know about it here.

For god, depend what u like, mage type can be fun and mostly depend what your play style, ao kuang is cheap and easy for play, go ahead and try since it is in free rotation god now. Poseidon and Freya not bad for a starter.

For god different price really not sure why, only know new launch god is more expensive, the price will back normal when another new god launch, next teaser new god RAMA(Hindu).

For ping and fps, click f8 in game, the ping is high cause it is a NA server.

I bought the ao kuang, but there are news that ao kuang going to be re-design into a mayan god, just like the old sun wukong case.

so what would happen next?
a. I keep the new mayan god?
b. I keep the new ao kuang?

and why we can earn exp and favor in practice conquest roam mode?
I though its just practice so no reward.

for the god case , i not sure as i also own ao kuang.

Just confirm, just ding, now I'm lvl 16.
Play 2 matches of conquest with player, don't know what I'm doing.
I go to pratice mode to practice, get familiar with the map and stuff.
Avoid more yelling. Still try to remember some common vgs.

in case anyone dont know, by installing curse voice and play 1 match smite with it open, u can get 200 gem(from email). need a curse account.

Ao Kuang is getting the Sun Wu Kong treatment where ao kuang's current ability will be put to the new god and ao kuang will have a different set of skills built and he will be re-release. As for the ownership thing, back when wukong was getting the method, players who bought the old wukong gets hun batz whilst they have to buy wukong again, so most likely you will get the new god (with ao kuang old ability) instead of the ao kuang re-release.

Had been losing a lot recently. Their match-making is inconsistent.

i play for quite sometime already,forget when i play, is before osiris launch that time. the winning rate just around 53% for me right now. yes team will make u lose or we are the 1 that make the team lost

most funny time is team play like and they scold the others ha. so far i think abit disadvantage for us playing assassin class as sometime the delay may let us miss the target.(not include thor)

i'm using strymix 4mb, my ping around 215-250

i also 4mb strtmix 4mb...if play in EU server ping will be 200-250, but if play in america server ping will be 300++
sometime got lag also but not very frequently...
when will hi-rez wanna create a SEA server...we really need that kind of server...

i not that play jungle before but when play mercury it sometime cause me to miss when rush to enemy..... aoe god is the 1 mroe suitable for us...

people always blame me bcoz of miss attack....last nite play as thor jungle, wanna attack tyr, suprisingly all of my basic attack cannot hit tyr...and i die

new thanatos skin is coming, angelic thanatos....and they say that next patch ao kuang will back...

I want to try to get mastery level for Fenrir and Nemesis but both gods are single target. Currently not doing well with Fenrir, quite hard to hit.

currently i faced a huge lagg in the game. i used to have less than 250 ping but now my ping is higher than 360 for a month. is this the server problem or my internet problem

I read some post in reddit that the lagging issue in lobby is experience by most of them >.< hopefully could solve that in the upcoming patch

I spent tons and tons of hours on this game, addicted to it thanks to my boyfriend who introduce me this game and made me into a smite-r. At first there were not much of gods now there's almost 70 gods! I like the concept of third person viewing angle for a MOBA, since i don't like the top down view of LoL.
Compare to LoL or Dota 2 this is fairly easier to play. You can get actives to help yourself/allies ot boost damage dealt on enemies.
This is a game with bright future, it's climbing up fast and not gonna stop!
Now that it has reached Season 2 quite a lot has changed, the new interface, the new queue system, new gods, new stuff everywhere which makes it really refreshing.
Made me feel like i'm new to the game again.
