ok, so i have smelly hair,
but not those 1km away also can smell one LOL
but if like half a foot close
very smelly one cry.gif
many years i have this kind of problem and i tried countless shampoo product
but also not much help cry.gif
and everytime my bro look behind by my back when i'm playing game
he will suddenly say my hair smell really bad
he said if nearby got smell but can tahan lah,
but if smell on the skin/scalp
better ready 14 floor shocking.gif

currently i'm using pantane total damage care (the gold big one ) shampoo
ok, maintainable but still got some smell on the skin or scalp.
though it helps with my split end thumbup.gif

i don't use conditioner cause it make my hair smell worse and too sticky.
i try wash but also still there on the skin/scalp.

i also don't use those after bath hair product
cause my hair is too oily and if put, look like barbie's hair laugh.gif
plastic shiny shiny.

from time to time,
i blow-dry my hair when rushing to work or lazy to wait it to dry off
but most of the time i leave it to dry itself.

not to sound creepy but sometime when the pretty korean looking girls walk pass
the hair smell very nice
and i always think "HOW THE ♫ DO THEY HAVE NICE SMELLING HAIR ?! USE MAGIC AH ?! "
lol

to me i think i already reach the point where if close by also no horrible smell liao
just the scalp got problem (==")
now i aim for nice smelling hair for 1 foot/feet ( idk how to describe but i hope you get the point )

so anyone can share your secret to nice smelling hair ? laugh.gif

Pantene isn't suitable for you. Since, it makes your hair and scalp oily. Why not try sebamed.

but why smelly? i think it has more to do with the scalp rather than the hair.

try Aveda. it has lot natural-based hair care products. but it's quite expensive yo...

and also try treating your hair with hair mask. it wont make your hair oily, don't worry....

Aveda is available at Pavilion and 1Utama.
It's a standalone shop.

Hi dear~ what do you mean for smelly hair? Is it smelly because of oily?
If oily & problem scalp, I m recommend to use Korea Seaweed Scalp Mask 1-2 times per week as what we do on our face.

If super oily, you can try on Batiste Dry Shampoo which can instantly refresh your oily scalp and hair without water. It contain 5 flavors now

If tend for nice scent, try France 2 in 1 SILU Hair Serum and perfume . It consists of 2 flavor - Chanel & Dior. You can save you perfume and it have function to nourish and UV protection biggrin.gif

Smell usually emerge from bacterial growth.
A proper diagnosis is required to address you issue properly.

Usual treatment is to look at your hair care product.
You may need to swap away Pantene.

The other possibility is that you don't wash and rinse
your hair properly. There are residue + sweat that cultivate bacteria.

Since your hair is damage, consider keeping short hair.
Wash and care for it daily.
Shampoo hair like washing your hands;
Lather the shampoo to foam,
Run across head/scalp complete coverage
Rinse.... don't leave it on for long as
shampoo (like soap) prolong contact dries skin.

When applying conditioner, just apply on the hair.
Do not let it touch your scalp.
Just enough to ensure your hair is not tangle easily.
When condition, hair is manageable and the outer layer
of the hair is not porous. Hence would not attract residue.

Try scented conditioner.

After shampoo and wash, dry your hair.
Make sure your pillow case is changed weekly.

The main problem is you don't know how to care for your hair
That's why its damage and
When you to attend/care for it properly
It smells...

..you wouldn't wait until your body smell, then only you shower do you?
So care for your hair regularly. Gud luk

HI I m selling these online, I can deliver to your doorstep.. biggrin.gif
Besides scent hair, i am recommend you to use scalp mask to control oil sebum and scalp problem, it will adsorb excess oil from scalp and provide vitamin to scalp.. Hair scent, can try on SILU as I mentioned earlier.

Your scalp maybe sensitive to certain chemicals, or perhaps they are mild allergic reaction.

I would suggest trying Baby shampoo as they are very mild and gentle to the skin. I believe this is a cheaper option for now than to risk buying expensive shampoos that may not work.

Make sure your get all the residual out when your wash your hair.

Do you have long or short hair? Short hair is much more manageable.

I think ur scalp is oily la. That's why u think ur hair is smelly but actually the smell comes from scalp. Try not to leave ur hair dry naturally, blow dry with cold wind setting on ur hair dryer. And don't use Pantene or sun silk those common brand, it will make ur scalp even oilier. You are still young now, better take good care of ur scalp else when u get older will develop hair fall cuz of the oily scalp problem.

Change your diet to a more healthy diet, use shampoo that suits your hair type. I sometimes use home remedy like tomato juice or lemon and leave it for a while, it may sounds weird but it does help.

Actually yeah, lime, lemon, cucumber, and daun sirih as fas as I know has anti-bacterial properties that helps fight off bad odor. Lime and lemon can make dandruff go away (personal experience), smell very very fresh but kinda drying. Cucumber and daun sirih is better if wanna have the same effect while keeping the moisture on, but smell.. cucumber-like, haha. Also hibiscus flower and its leaf, and batang kangkung is also good for hair care. And absolutely no side effects, 100% effective and the effect is long lasting buttt it take a lot of effort and time to see the result. Like really really long, 1 year or more. But once you got to it, basically you will be good for life as long as you exercise the routine 1 or twice per week. Fragrance in products actually is not good, that's why some people say opt for fragrance-free stuff, coz fragrance can dries the skin. So safer alternative is using daun pandan or rose tea (the pricier ones without coulouring added). I use green tea leaves left after drinking it to scrub my face and fine coffee powder for my body (coz they are cheap) and what I can say is that, I got wayy better result than using over the counter products. My over sensitive, ezcema skin recover faster now and isn't dry anymore, no more suffering like before. I think it is because natural stuffs are really mild and very gentle on the skin. So yeah it may sounds weird but give it a go if you are interested, it may help.

Hello

Since you have sensitive scalps, I would recommend you go to Organic shops and buy their shampoos. It might helps. My cousin is using organic shampoo, it is good.

By the way, how many times you wash your hair during bath? And you wash everyday or alternate?

Try using Apple Cider Vinegar to wash your hair, like around half a cup and massage it into your scalp. Your hair will smell a bit like Apple Cider Vinegar but it will be gone soon. Just leave the vinegar for around 10-15 minutes then wash it away. Natural remedies are always the best.

you can also try handmade soap to wash hair, those are free from chemicals and scent, to improve your scalp condition first.

Or, goto those consultant type salon (try Holistic Hair Care in Puchong bandar puteri if you're there), they use a type of tool to scan your scalp, can see all the pores and even how many hair strands in one follicle. I got my dandruff issue solved there.
