Hello to all ICE sifus. I know my thread is about old topic but i really really really need HELP and GUIDANCE . Based on my research, i already know the main component to change first is the H.U. which my stock H.U. is the Flush Type (no USB) and target to install OEM 7' Double Din Player (no GPS) to my car. Furthermore, I also would like to install JBL component set to my car and my decent budget for all of this is around RM800 and below. So my problems is...

1. does the OEM Double Din Player will support the JBL component set ? if not, can sifus suggested any brands.
2. is there any recommended shop that can make custom speaker box ? i really hate to see my speaker board to be hole.

That looks like a China made OEM one.. I think the only Branded touch screen under rm800 is from Sony.With that budget I'd rather invest on a proper branded HU non touch such as pioneer or alpine.I guess its possible for a speaker box which I really don't see the point.. But then again I'm no sifu..

It depends what you want. If you want better audio, just change the speaker and add a subwoofer. I just changed mine to the Helix 4BX with an Epsilon EPS8000 active subwoofer. Huge improvement from the original system. Cost less than a thousand. EA Works could be one of the place you want to start exploring the options.

Thanks guys for reply. Hmm... Actually I'm not going hardcore in ICE. I just like to have a good bass audio upgrade. There are so many brands to choose from but at the end i get confused Can you guys help me suggest any H.U. brand that have good preset equalizer for bass ?

If you're a bass head..what you need is a subwoofer and mono amplifier.
Stock HU with factory location for existing speakers, even if you change them will not give you the solid and low down bass notes.
I'm in the process of replacing the whole HU and 2 pairs of speakers to a much better brand. As anticipated, low down bass cannot be achieved unless I add those extras.

dun go for the preset eq...those are really useless.....

just get a hu with proper tuning feature with the budget and tune urself...experience the diff and learn..
