I use XiaoMi Mi2s before, the translation might not be perfect but not bad until can't understand.
For me it is 95% translate in understandable English. The most not 100% translate is fans make themes which some in chinese wording, this is nothing surprise since most user still from China, you can anytime use others themes that is 100% in english. Some extra apps maybe in chinese as well but those is third party apps which can be uninstall if not using.
For stock apps all is translated.
