So better performance but takes more storage. Not bad, will try it when I update the dev rom. I'm waiting for the next dev rom update.

Those who're interested with ART, check here MIUI

Can i use it in MY if i buy the handset in China?
*
Yes, if you buy the WCDMA version. If you buy TDCMA version, you can only get 2G network connection in Malaysia, not 3G.

QUOTE(siren @ May 16 2014, 11:46 AM)
no la, this is only my take.

we never know. Maybe in this thread, the hype is strong but outside of this thread, still not much people is interested.

I asked my frens and colleagues around, some told me my hp still very good, why need to buy it?
Others told me they already have Samsung, HTC and Sony phones tied with contract, why need to change to China brand?
Others claiming China brand reliable onot despite being super cheap, they still believe 一份钱,一份货的道理。

Maybe I am wrong. Just need to see the sales figure on 20 May to confirm.
*
Might be true, somehow I sense that Xiaomi brand wasn't that popular to the public. This is good news to those who're targeting the phone. laugh.gif

QUOTE(tanalvis @ May 16 2014, 12:29 PM)
After linking debit card with paypal, do we need to verify the debit card throught paypal right??

If do that, RM 10 will be transferred from your bank account to paypal account
*
Yes, RM10 will be transfered to your paypal account.

QUOTE(siren @ May 16 2014, 12:44 PM)
This is why HTC and Sony still survive today and they also still so brave to charge high prices for it.

HTC and Sony only loses its market in developing nations such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, India etc

These brands are still pretty strong in Europe, USA, Australia, Middle East.

You ask an American or European to adopt a China made Xiaomi brand smartphone? They wont give you a damn unless Xiaomi really pumps in billions of dollars into marketing, I guess its difficult too to change the American and European's perception.
*
Xiaomi still have not targeting the countries you stated. Currently they only trying to set foot in Asia countries. Take note that there's no online or physical Xiaomi shops for the western and middle east countries yet which is unlike HTC, Sony, Samsung etc. So comparing Xiaomi at current state with other giant brand is not realistic.

QUOTE(MsiaqweR @ May 16 2014, 12:53 PM)
I doubt so.
Even until today, tell me a single China brand other than smartphone that it well known and widely accepted in America, Europe or Middle East?
*
I don't have a good answer for this, but Lenovo wasn't doing that bad in America.

This link will help you to understand better.
As you know, fruit company likes to sue people without good reasons.
Look at MIUI. Their UI is almost exactly like iOS.
So what are the chances that fruit company won't sue them?
*
Thanks for the link. Hope they release MIUI as an open rom in future.

whoever getting such deal will stuck for 24 months, meanwhile if mi3s pop up 6 months later, he/she will be red eye for remaining 18 months.  laugh.gif

Mi key..nice to have..will wait till it is available locally as the requirement is not crucial
*
Yes, just wait till it's available here, or the price in China reduced. Now they mark up a lot, 4.99 selling at 18.99 sweat.gif

won't this Mi key drain battery? since the mi key app will run on background to detect the keypress.
