I'm planning to buy the lenovo Y510P but it got 2 version which is Single GPU and Dual SLI..
The Dual SLI looks awesome but does it have flaws compare to the single gpu?
Which one is better? pros and cons?

Which one is better? pros and cons? single gpu pro: less heat save more battery sli pro: more graphic power not all games support sli/crossfire configuration |

Y510P graphic card is GT750 or GT755...
sadly GT750 and GT755 are not good gaming graphic card... thats why Y510p is advertised as multimedia laptop not gaming laptop... |

QUOTE(Gabbidon @ May 16 2014, 11:02 AM) Y510P graphic card is GT750 or GT755... lol, have you played with y510p yet? if you havent touch/played game in it then better dont say bad bout it...sadly GT750 and GT755 are not good gaming graphic card... thats why Y510p is advertised as multimedia laptop not gaming laptop... the gt755m is more than enough in 1366x768 configuration... higher resolution than that is quite challenging... im using y410p... and im quite impressed with the graphic card... it is good enough for a mobile computer.... i have played battlefield 3 in ultra condition in it without any lag... all games in this few years could be played with the single graphic card configuration... the single gt755m can be used to play crysis 3 in low-med setup, and it capable to go higher with the sli configuration... so, where your description that the graphic card are not good gaming graphic card? + the capability of adding and removing graphic card with the ultrabay, the laptop can change the graphic card from class 2 gpu to class 1 gpu... with priced at rm2.5k only( os version only ) it really a bang for a buck that laptop is... |

Gt 755m is a good graphic card, but not a good "gaming" graphic card. Sure it can play games smoothly in 1366x768, but nowadays most gaming laptops are equipped with FHD screen (1920x1080) and GT 755m can only play the newer titles with low-medium settings in FHD. Even GT 755m SLI is not that great for gaming because not every games are SLI-optimized (especially online games). On top of that, the SLI setting in Y410P is a portable barbeque machine.the gt755m is more than enough in 1366x768 configuration... higher resolution than that is quite challenging... im using y410p... and im quite impressed with the graphic card... it is good enough for a mobile computer.... i have played battlefield 3 in ultra condition in it without any lag... all games in this few years could be played with the single graphic card configuration... the single gt755m can be used to play crysis 3 in low-med setup, and it capable to go higher with the sli configuration... so, where your description that the graphic card are not good gaming graphic card? + the capability of adding and removing graphic card with the ultrabay, the laptop can change the graphic card from class 2 gpu to class 1 gpu... with priced at rm2.5k only( os version only ) it really a bang for a buck that laptop is... |

Nicely written Hardcore gaming machines are really expensive haha We should'nt expect too much from a gaming capable multimedia machine, especially at such an affordable price |
