We will be launching a new online mmorpg name Pirate King Online this coming September 2006 for close beta. There will only be 5000 accounts up for grab during close beta and later it will be open to all.

The website on this game will be ready sometime next week and you can check it out at www.piratekingonline.com.

what is the game about??

.....and shouldn't the characters look like pirates (as per the title)??? all i see r characters with wings and fancy dresses. at least try to make them look like pirates (not like Jack Sparrow. more towards "One Piece" kinda characters or something). if u can't, at least change the title of the game.

hope u dun mind some contructive criticism. coz with strong local competition from e-games with titles such as RAN online and Knight Online (with characters actually resembling a knight of sorts) or heck, even RO, u'll need to improve more or ur fanbase will shrink very fast and ur game will turn out to be just another glorified chat room with pretty graphics. but the forging of weapons (from screenshot) sounds like a good idea, provided there are a lot of combos for different weapons.

Must admit the title do not really jive with the game...maybe the ships...but anywayz, the game does have some very nice 3D anime graphics, hope the game play rocks too!

what's the minimum hardware requirement?

A game worth trying...
It will allow you to make lots of friends as teamwork is much needed
No endless hours of grinding as there are many places for you to explore esp the dungeons
Also, you can engage in commerce trade from city to city to earn money fast

which MMORPG game does not really have lvls?

for this game, you can do quest to gain lvl...not just by killing monsters...doing quest is slow but rewarding

the thing i like when i play the taiwan server: going to a dungeon with 20-30 guild members and take 2hrs to find and slaughter the boss there...can get a unique red color armor or weapon from it...so rewarding and fun

With the latest server side patch comes a new in-game feature, Guild Wars!

There will also be a test run on the Guild Wars system this weekend! Join other players with guilds of their own and experience this massive pvp war!

For starters, we will set the guild war timing as follows:

Friday 1900 hrs (GMT + 8): For 2nd guild placing
Saturday 1900 hrs (GMT + 8): For 1st guild placing
Sunday 1900 hrs (GMT + 8): For 3rd guild placing

There's sure to be a lot of players participating in the guild wars this coming weekend, winner takes home the bragging rights and honor of being the best guild in the closed beta!

hmm..what stat to add for sharpshooter?

Every 4 points ACC, go for 1 AGI

You need ACC for attk dmg and the agi for inc attk speed

Open beta is just a couple of days away (Friday 22nd @ 7pm GMT+8 timing) and here are some of the events that have already been announced for the upcoming players!

Pirate King Online Open Beta Fastest Leveler Event
Date: 22/09/06 7.00pm to 24/09/06 12.00am (GMT + 8)

Rules for Fastest Leveler Competition
1. Once the server is open. Players may join the game world immediately and begin leveling.

2. There are no rules to how you may level up. (Quest or grinding)

3. Players with the top levels (as of 24/09/06 @ 12.00 am GMT + 8) will be awarded the following prizes:

1st place: 3 Gem Vouchers
2nd place: 2 Gem Vouchers
3rd place: 1 Gem Vouchers

All top 3 placings will also receive a new title in the Pirate King Online forums (Speed Leveling Monster) which they may choose to accept/reject or give a suitable alternative which we can consider.

4. Exploiting bugs is strictly not allowed.

5. This event is open to all players of our game.

Event: Early Birds
NPC: Redemption - Bingo (2230, 2715)
Location: Argent City
Start Date: 23/09/06 - 1900 hrs (GMT + 8)

Details:
Players can redeem their one time reward by completing a quest for NPC Bingo. They will need to kill 10 Little Squidies at (2287, 2555) outside of Argent City.

-Lantern x 2 (Increases defense of user by 50 points for 15 minutes)

Players Lv 60 and below can obtain quest from NPC Old Man Burry. Kill 20 Forest Spirits, 20 Little Squidies, 10 Mud Monsters, 10 Stramonium and 10 Rookie Boxeroo and get back to him to redeem your reward.

Reward:
Pet Fairy x 1 (2% chance)
or Magical Clover x 1 (3% chance)
or Refining Gem Voucher x 1 (5% chance)
or Acceleration Potion x 1 (20% chance)
or Triangle Sail x 1 (30% chance)
or Lantern x 1 (40% chance).

Requirements:-Limit to players below Lv 60

I'm loving this game. I'm a level 20 herbalists. This game is like One Piece style pirates, so dont go arround and says it does not look like a pirates game. it's fun!

Dont quite get what you want to ask. As for item forging, there is guild on the PKO site. For build, different job has different build. My char is a lvl36 con swordmans which planning to change to champion. Anyway I play at anchor server. Not sure which servers others in.

I never heard of any hidden things or what as most of info can be found on pko website. If you feel that its kind of limited, you can try checking out on china or taiwan pko site.

As for build, I think is more on personal preference as no point following those cookie butter build. Just build things according to what you like as its stated quite clearly what stats affected what

As for those weapon fusion and combination, I also not too sure but definitely wont be needed them for the moment as only will need them when climbing till at least lvl50 or above on those maze special equipments. I myself also had a fusion scroll which currently sitting in the bank for future usage.
