By taking out the 750 Ti means no need for a GC for an ITX build?

man, i've been out of the desktop scene for too long, the Phenom looks great though

for future proofing purposes in case I wana do some gaming?

If wana go gaming in the future let the 750 Ti in there.

Both of these are 120GB SSD. I already included a 2TB drive in your build up there. So if you want SSD for fast booting still in yer budget.

Hahahah I thought you want upgrade on the Belkin. Guess you gotta ask major stores like CZone or Viewnet or All IT and see whats the cheapest they have.

No point spending rm1k for a rm500 mobile phone kinda thing =P i go find this weekend =)

im sure a CM elite 130 can even fit tri-x in there, but again im not sure exactly if CM 130 are mini itx case but it still compact and small.

anyway you can go with normal mid tower case, itx for me is more suitable for those who travel with their pc everywhere...kaki lan party or something like that.

I was travelling to Jakarta for my previous job very very often, so I carried one home with my final batch of chitato

changed to my new job this week >.<

Currently running multiple VMware deployment images for VPN/Server/Game/Work. Want to upgrade RAM but the price is sick at the moment.


I think should be fine since I don't plan to go crazy amount, maybe 4.6/4.8 at most but that's a later question.

And I just realised, I don't have any processor to run the board for BIOS update. I have no idea how to get this fixed first.



Edit: Another reason to upgrade is because I have CrossFire (6950) setup but my good board got fried and I am using only single GPU at the moment because CFX turns down the second PCI-E to X4 only on my current board and causes major stuttering in games

So yeah, my setup is broken at the moment. Can't find replacement board for my platform since it came out so long ago that supports X8/X8 PCI-E lanes and the risk of no warranty.

Since 3k is sort of over budget for my use, how bout i tweak it a little and make it 2k for the CPU, I'll keep 1k for my other hobbies lol

Possible if I retain everything except the GPU? I've googled about the H97 Pro 4 ITX but can't find any info if there is any onboard graphics.
another minor concern here, it seems the Phenom doesn't have an optical drive bay?

Yes you can. The i5 itself already has integrated graphics. Intel HD 4600. I hope that helps.

the integrated graphics was provided by intel processor not motherboard itself, so its good.
about that ODD, did u really use it?. most ITX build doesnt use ODD.

planning to upgrade my graphics card and get an ssd
Currently using HD4870.
So wanna ask what the best card I can get for 1080p gaming on max settings?
My budget around 1k for both gfx card and the ssd . Planning to use the ssd for the OS.

Can't really remember what PSU I'm using already have to go back and check. My desktop already 5 years old IIRC its a 600W Silverstone PSU. Should be ok right? Considering the new cards should need less energy compared to my aging 4870

I5 (not sure exact model) and 4gb ram. Might be adding more ram if got extra budget.

About the ODD, I've checked and found externals are at about rm50 more than an internal one, I can live with that I suppose.

Besides the Phenom, I've come across the CM elite 130 as well but looks like it doesn't ventilate that well?
