There's still a room for 2TB HDD, just in case TS needs a lot of capacity to store his work. You can also go modular with RM60 more.

Other than that, good build.

Apologies, my objective is often to quote the cheapest possible for TS' needs. thumbup.gif Also, modular PSU is purely optional here. You would be surprised by how a non-modular PSU can also be tidied up and look great (if not better) in a casing with adequate room for cable management.

Hi,

[Budget]
RM 5500

[Purpose]
Video game
Listen to music - Should I get external DAC or sound card?
Movies

[Hardwares that will be re-use] -

[Monitor resolution]
Want to get monitor with 27" 2560x1600. But if it's not suitable for gaming then can go for 23"/24" 1920x1200. Prefer 16:10 ratio.

[Games & softwares that use frequently]
High graphics video games, crysis.. etc, etc..

[Personal preferences]
Want to get a PC to play high graphics video games, preferably minimum 80% close to highest settings. No low fps or lag.
System is quiet when not gaming. And not too loud when gaming, if possible.
No need ODD, as it's seldom used and I think Windows 8 can be installed through USB.
Please suggest keyboard and mouse too.
Can suggest speakers too. But it's not included in the budget, as they can be expensive.

[Location]
KL

Who assembles PC, any suggestions? How much does the service cost?
Should I buy the parts and get the PC assembled in the same shop? Or buy the parts myself first then send to a shop to assemble?

Please advise. Thanks.

Unfortunately, 1600p displays would be only available on 30 inch displays, which is not cheap to begin with (FYI 30 inch 1600p displays cost more than half of your budget... sweat.gif )

Not to mention 1600p is incredibly hard to push even with very high end GPUs... sweat.gif

Still, I'd go with 1200p, but the price range is too close to a Korean 1440p display... sweat.gif

Anyway,

Xeon E3 1230v3-RM789
ASRock H97 Pro4-RM329
Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB-RM249
WD Caviar Blue 1TB-RM189
PowerColor R9 290 PCS+-RM1650
Seasonic M12II 620W-RM359
NZXT H440 (Black with Red Color)- RM399
LiteOn DVD Writer-RM55
Samsung 840 EVO 120GB-RM320
X-Star DP2710 Matte-RM963 (Get from this link: http://www.ebay.com.my/itm/Matte-X-STAR-DP...d1e678e&_uhb=1)
Keyboard and mouse of your choice-RM60

Total: RM5362

Still has room for a mechanical keyboard.... brows.gif

Promotion price, probably stock clearance too. Do note that it comes with only 1 year warranty compared to the standard 2 years that Powercolor offers.
