[Budget]: Around RM1500
[Purpose]: Gaming [Hardwares that will be re-use]: Needs the rig only. Re-using my old DVD-Drive. [Monitor resolution]: Full HD, 1920*1080. [Games & softwares that use frequently]: osu!, LoL, google chrome. (might play heavier games in the future [Personal preferences]: Try to stick with Intel [Location]: KL area. Can visit Lowyat plaza no problem. So far light gaming only. If possible can get a better CPU. Probably will upgrade to a better Graphic Card after this when I play games a lot |

Corsair, I don't usually recommend, as Corsair did not do a very good job in the customization of the firmware on their Sandforce based drives on their earlier series (many years back). They have likely improved over the years now. Corsair makes great products by the way. Of all, I would personally stand by the reliability of Intel based drives. That is my personal recommendation. |

QUOTE(NeverX3 @ May 18 2014, 11:00 AM) If you need a dedicated GPU, then can't fit i5 (better CPU as you stated) in your budget. Also, the Intel HD 4600 is more than enough for most (if not all) light gaming.IMO, if you plan to upgrade in future, it is better to get a more powerful CPU without dedicated GPU for now than getting a weaker CPU and weaker GPU. For the former, you just need to add in a GPU, no money is lose. For the latter, you need to undergo the hassle of selling both CPU and GPU (at depreciation) and spend more to get a better CPU and GPU. QUOTE(bingding @ May 18 2014, 02:00 PM) Yes, and they have good support in terms of warranty. Last time I RMA-ed (via Intel directly) my board and got a replacement within a week. Yes, it is that fast, once you've cleared all their troubleshooting etc. |

Hi guys. Just wanna update you all.
After i change casing to Graphite 230T last 2 days, i monitor the temp. Much2 better. 280X now max gaming is hover around 73c. Idle 38-39c. It is true that the casing + airflow with proper fan, can make significant improvement in temp. Love my setup now. Teaser the 230T with JetFlo. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |
