Sorry took a long response cause internet slowpoke. Right from what I've read in the negative review only about 2-3 caught on fire. So chances of you, your card go on fire is low. This is electronic product we're talking about. Some are good when it arrived and some are bad. Unless the whole review section filled with negatives then safe to sure that card isn't safe anymore. Also by end of this month [ July? ] why not just wait. Only a day or two till they restock the Hawk edition.

sorry not end of this month.

I've owned the Asus GTX 760 DCUII OC before and it is one of the finest 760 out there in the market. The idle and load temps are nothing short of amazing compared to the reference solution. Nothing to worry about unnecessarily. The only difference this card would have compared to the MSI HAWK is the lower clock speed, but you can always manually tweak it yourself.

DOA sometimes do happen, but Asus is one of the 'premium' company out there and their build quality is very good especially the directcuii cooling which is excellent thumbup.gif . My 290 directcuii for example is humongous btw and build like a champ rclxms.gif

As long as you have a decent psu (recommended 80+ certified), I don't think you have anything to worry about getting that asus gtx 760 smile.gif

Yes it does. Well you probably want to aim for higher clockspeed = more fps by about 10-20 depending on how much you've tweaked. If you got the money the 770 is faster and better.

For GTX 760, the difference is quite minimal. I did a review before comparing the Asus 760 with the Zotac 760 AMP! Edition (it has the same core clock speed as HAWK).

www.tech-critter.com/2013/10/asus-gtx-760-directcu-ii-oc-review.html?m=1

GTX 770 is definitely faster. If you can afford it, then the GTX 770 is clearly the better card here.

Recommend you getting s new PSU.

2k. Okay.

Proc - i5-4460 RM 589
Mobo - Asrock H97 Pro 4 RM 329
GPU - Gainward GTX 760 RM 799
PSU - Antec VP-550w RM 199
RAM - 8GB Value RAM RM 244

RM 2,160. Really really worth it for this one. Only RM 160 more. The 760 can play high on most games in 1080p resolution. With your 19" monitor no hiccup. Also you're using DDR3 or DDR2 RAM?

You need monitor inside your build, that's why. Here are some options:

1. SSD change to 120GB.
2. HDD change to 1TB.
3. GPU change to Zotac GTX 780 Ti AMP! Edition, RM2299 (GBros).
4. Top up RM215.

Intel Core i7 4790K - RM1099
Asrock Z97 Extreme 4 - RM579
Corsair Value Ram 8GB DDR3 1600MHz - RM244
Zotac GTX 780 Ti AMP! Edition - RM2299 (GBros)
Seasonic M12 II 620W PSU - RM359
Intel 530 Series 120GB SSD – RM289
WD Blue 1TB HDD - RM174
NZXT Phantom 410 Casing – RM325
Lite-On 24x DVDRW – RM59
Scythe Ashura - RM179
Dell S2340L 23" LED Monitor - RM569

It would easily do 3 years, with a good CPU. For GPU, you can always upgrade it when you feel that the current one is already not good enough. So having at least an i5 would ensure that there is little to no bottlenecking present especially when running stronger GPUs. I suggest topping up for a 600W PSU (around RM299), as this will ensure that you can run pretty much any single GPU card out there. Saves you the trouble of upgrading in future.

the build will work, very healthy budget there H440 is a popular chassis so it should be everywhere by now

P/S: if black/red theme, can opt for Alchemy cables from BitFenix or Silverstone PPE wink.gif

Another thing about H440 is that it doesn't have a 5.25 bay. tongue.gif
