QUOTE(jakuraz @ Jul 13 2014, 03:14 AM) yep. i was cursing the shop we bought the components from. and 1 more thing, Dell monitors(S series especially) only come together with vga cable. they should at least provide a dvi cable inside the packaging box. i mean the monitors are advertised as Full-HD monitors arent they? what's the vga cable for? lol.. i ended up having to go back to the shop and ask for a hdmi cable. luckily they dont charge for that cable. *just a reminder to people buying Dell monitors and CM chasis. still relevant to this thread i think. I think it's pretty much standard they will give vga cable. You can use dvi to vga converter i think it's included in the package. For the hdmi port , try and adjust the position of your videocard.

QUOTE(toomanyrulez @ Jul 14 2014, 02:10 PM) Just wondering.. Intel xeon 1230 v3 versus Intel Core i5 4460.. Is there any big difference in term of performance? in gaming nope, but if you are running application or programs that uses hyper-threading then yes there will be difference.

QUOTE(sarf2k4 @ Jul 25 2014, 01:32 AM) Thank you for your reply, I already contacted this person. I wanna know a little bit the differences between asus, gigabyte and sapphire in these models r7 250 and r7 250x and how they perform? This is because asus and gigabyte's r7 250 costs around RM400 grab the one that's the cheapest, don't think there will be much different between the cards.

QUOTE(kunang @ Jul 30 2014, 12:08 PM) Thanks raven for the recommendation Any chance of getting i5 without the monitor & dvdrw? monitor can wait for a while yes can get already, just top up another rm200. Spend the extra money on getting a better case. You won't regret it when you have a case with good cable management.

QUOTE(Jigoku @ Jul 30 2014, 07:29 PM) Caught fireI scared la bro after reading each page telling me their card kena fire and then no RMA and shit like that. My room/house is really hot from 12pm to 5pm.That is why i scared. DOA sometimes do happen, but Asus is one of the 'premium' company out there and their build quality is very good especially the directcuii cooling which is excellent . My 290 directcuii for example is humongous btw and build like a champ As long as you have a decent psu (recommended 80+ certified), I don't think you have anything to worry about getting that asus gtx 760

QUOTE(apek1989 @ Aug 1 2014, 07:20 AM) Hi guise. Im going to buy the G3258. so as my budget is tight this month, can u recommend me good mobo to support to oc this kind of little devil. I'm hear that H81 & H85 can support this CPU in oc. so my concern is long term. is it ok to pair this cpu with the H series or just get z97 series board. Any recommendation is accepted with open heart. thanks. Asrock Z97M Anniversary, I think idealtech is running an offer now at RM309, can ceck on that

QUOTE(AdzNiTyLiciouS @ Aug 9 2014, 09:51 PM) thanks for the reply bro. I think i can skip some items. - skip KB/M and speaker. - processor i3 (will i3 bottleneck gtx770?) - ram 4gb - skip dvd rom the only item that I want is the gtx 770, but i can also consider other cards that performs as a good as gtx770. ( maybe amd cards? i dunno) Try hunt for 2nd hand gpu, you can find used 770 in the garage sales but they are a bit of a hot commodity so yeah be quick if you want one. Your best bet isdefinitely with the used r9-280x or if you're lucky an r9-290 . I have used both amd and nvidia gpus. So far both brands perform well except in some games like AC3 which sees the nvidia edge ahead a bit due to txaa but that game is very unoptimised. Power consumption wise , in my view nvidia is slighly more efficient but if you're getting a decent 600-700w psu, u dont have to worry about it.
