hi... i just oc abit but im not sure its ok?? how to test wether its stable after ocing?? i lowered my mem to 166 mhz

run Prime95, 3dmark... if no error then you can call it ok.

overclocking has no meaning if you cant get it stable at certain point.

everything all stock....except the mem spd i lower it to 166 mhz the temperature after i oc abit still at 40 celcius

Mem speed ? Its not the mem speed that's causing the temp increase. Its the proc, the higher the clock speed the higher the temp would be. Increasing the mem do increase the cpu clockspeed in directly. If the temp increases within -+ 5c then its still acceptable. How much was the temp increase btw ?
