Hi, so I just bought a new usb cable since my old Apple cable no longer working. But whenever I connect it to my Ipad at the indicator on the screen at the upper right conner says "not charging" instead of the usual battery percentage icon. But when I unplugged it I notice my battery charge level did increased so that means it was charging.

So each time when charging I had to unplug it and plug it again just to know the current battery charge level. So troublesome sweat.gif and don't think that's good for the battery's health.
Anyone knows any solution other than buying another new cable? Is there any apps that can show the battery percentage while charging using third-party cable?

Original cable, MFI certified cable or imitations? Your syndrome looks like when you plug in the iPad to your computer usb port. It shows not charging but actually it's charging albeit slowly. Maybe it's the cable or maybe it's the ipad itself. If you can get a hold on another cable (original) then maybe you can try and see.

I think maybe imitation, got it for rm15.
Yes I had tried with my uncle's ori cable and it works fine.

So I guess I have to buy another. Do you know how much ori cable cost? (just cable, without 3 pin plug).
And where could I get it?

After iOS 7 and the china iPhone explode incident all iPhone must now charge with MFI certified cable only. The third party with MFI cert also selling at RM60-70. Might as well get the ori one.

Yo dude, my original cable rosak. So i bought a cheap one from Giant, sometimes it say not supported.

BUT, HERE IS DA BOSS WAY TO BE ABLE TO CHARGE NORMALLY!!!!!

1. Plug charger in wall and turn on ( dont put in the ipad yet)
2. Hold power button and turn off
3. Once u turn off, when the circle is spinning, plug the charger in
4. When circle no more, take out the charger and remember which way u plug it in
5. Hold power button and on ipad
6. When ipad is turning on, the apple logo is showing, plug the charger in again, BUT THE OTHER WAY ROUND!
7. Should be charging if u understand what i was saying and actually followed properly

Hope it helps
