Initiate the war at night time will be great. 
Grats for being TH7!  If you want to protect your resources, go for farming base. If you want to protect both resources and TH, go for hybrid.

Get all the extra def buildings and try to upgrade them to the level of buildings you have atm.
Build new walls to at least pink asap, dont start for black walls if you still have pink walls.
Upgrade your lab 1st thing going in to TH8.
