I know some of you guys still not sure how to lure CC troops properly before you attack a base during Clan Wars, so I decided to make one. Remember, luring and killing CC troops is the key to win a match against other clan, so follow all these steps carefully and good luck!
Step 1) First thing you need to do is to scout a base, and then tap on CC to check the range of the CC trigger radius, so that it's easier for you to know where you put your troops to check.
Step 2) During the attack, drop an Archer or Giant to lure the troops out. (if a troop is dead and all the troops inside CC is not lured out completely, drop another one to confirm)
Step 3) Bait them to the corner and take them out using your Barbs/Archers/Wizards/Dragon/CC troops just in case.
Step 4) Same thing for Heroes like Barbarian King and Archer Queen as well, drop your troop to draw their attention, and bait them to the corner.
Step 5) After killing CC troops and heroes, unleash your army!
Extra notes:
If some bases having their CC centralized, it's quite tricky to lure the troops out, so I recommend to bring a Lightning Spell with you just in case. Or doing the hard way to lure the CC troops out by sacrificing 1 or 2 Giant (4 or 5 Hog Riders is preferrable), followed by Wall Breakers to go deeper of the base.
Example of using Hog Riders for CW raiding and luring troops:

Let ayam share my whole experience in CoC and how I get things done to new ppl so hopefully you all get to learn a thing or two trough my experience.
I started out looking for strat on how to improve and stuff, trough bits and pieces of knowledge I build my strat to stand where I am today.
My style pretty simple, loose stuff at minimal to enemy, earn stuff at maximum from enemy (Like chinaman tongue.gif )
The most ideal for anyone with low TH is to get to either TH7 or TH8 .... this is the spot where maximum chance of things you can do to upgrade 1 thing a day which is at high cost. From the money you earn by collectors to marathon raid which would secure loot as well as maximize chance of getting things upgraded. My guide is also good for ppl who is working and have only certain days to do raid for loot as I am also working and can't spend 24/7 on this game. I'll try to put things trough stages so it's easier to see how I progress.
Before we begin make sure you get a few things clear .....
1) It's best not to spend gem for anything else besides builders. If you already have five save gem for special event boost as you might need them to convert into higher TH in the future.
2) You need a minimum of 2 - 3hr (if you are not cheating) dedicated for huge upgrade (3mil worth of loot money in total)
3) Change your build base on priority (defensive or offensive)
4) Assist your clanmates (Troop donation)
Right now lets start with stage one
(Stage one .... TH LVL1 - TH LVL5)
At the very beginning everything at low lvl you need to seek priority , most of the time beginners will go more on the offensive, so here is a list of building priority listed from very important to semi important in terms of upgrade progression.
1) max your army size camp every time you hit a new TH, you need this to help you farm faster
2) troop hall should be your next priority for speedy production
3) Tech center, upgrade the few important unit whenever you can to assure maximum survivability
Priority Troops for farming
A) Goblins
B) Archer
C) Wall breaker
D) Giant
E) Warriors
4) Gold and elixir production unit
5) Defensive tower (I prefer to max wiz and mortar 1st as most of the time you will be defending against mass rather then single target but archer tower and cannon tower should also be in this priority whenever you have money to upgrade)
6) Gold/Elixir storage
7) walls
The set up is simple, you max from 1 - 6 then you can hop on to next TH, don't worry about maximizing all upgrade before progression as that would take very long time and dedicated hours to progress. Other stuff not mention in the list is optional. From low lvl TH things are relatively cheap, as you could farm most of the stuff in 2hrs or so unless you push for multiple upgrades. Most of the time after a few run you would have find yourself out of builders so no point being too agressive.
How to "farm" Attk
Your priority should be in this order, goblin 60% archer 35% wall breaker/warrior 5% Your goblin is the most valuable unit in attk for maximum loot as they run fast and double dmg against resource buildings. Look for buildings with easy access to resource, for low TH attk if you see resource which is quite high (I think in lvl1 - lvl5 somewhere between 40 - 60k is consider high) but the vault is empty, that could mean that all the resource are on the resource building (meaning enemy did not collect them before log off). Send few goblins at a time while using a few warrior to distract attking towers to steal all their resource. If you find it hard to push for vault loot then just surrender and move on to the next one. Always keep your troops production when you are active as you will need them for continuous raid. When you hit the amount of your intended upgrade value stop raiding. This is because you don't want that "extra" resource to attract people from attking you later on (Most enemy would just skip any town that doesn't offer worth it value). And also this prevent revenge attk from getting the loot that you stole from them.
How to "def" attk
After that tiring raid and upgrade you wanna sleep, but too afraid enemy gonna pounce on you and give you no shield protection put your TH outside (except when clan is starting CW (Clan War) then you need to protect your TH at all cost). This is some what a common practice as people want the shield in exchange for loosing trophies a bit. Trophies is quite important for my strat as most of the time when you are farming with my tactic you will loose quite a bit of trophies, so I suggest every time while you are raiding if you can get a free TH kill you should go for it to minimize trophy lost. If your trophy is too low you need to dedicate some time for trophy hunt, specifically looking for TH that is unguarded and waste some money doing so. When you have good amount of trophy you are ready to loose some in exchange for loot!
stage 2 (TH LVL 6 - TH LVL8)
The strat is somewhat still the same except your allocation for troops need fair amount of wall breakers (about 5) and a mix of giant and warrior. At this stage you will meet a lot of tough TH, same strat look for easy resource access. Always remember to target what you want to upgrade and when you reach that amount don't go greedy and start another raid unless you are aiming for a few upgrade at one go, otherwise you will just temp enemy to go for your resource instead of your TH and risk getting attk again if enemy hit 49% but didn't get a star. Elixir to me is not so important mainly because most of the enemy don't look for elixir and just bang straight for gold. So even if they see that they could loot 200k elixir off you if your gold value is close to 0 they will just pass and find a more balance resource enemy.
When you are at TH7 or 8 it's hard to push for 3mil in 2hr, so here is what you do .... save your resource close to 1mil (or 1.5mil for big upgrades) when you are missing about 1mil resource to your goal you start your marathon till you reach your goal. If you need 3mil and you have only 1mil and don't have 4-5 hrs to spend then use my 2nd strat .... which is farm few 100k( minimum should at least be 500k) then put your TH outside, if it's a revenge attk he might try to trash your whole place but most of the time someone else would get to you first before revenge attk on you. Search for defending layout that spreads your resource but still keep them well protected, with the timer counting down enemy usually won't be able to sapu everything before timer ends. So even if 80% of your town and resource get wipe you loose only about 100k - 200k maximum. Since you have first farm 500k above before you stop that means you now get to rest for the next 12hr and repeat to push marathon raid till you reach that 3mil for that sweet upgrade.
Defending layout, there is a lot of choice creating a defensive or hard to clear build which is all over the internet, but it doesn't guarantee good defense, to me my start is to give enemy no reason to attk accept for trophies most of the time.
Also take note there is a farming technique which favor farming speed but you need a lot of trophies .... so if you can get a lot of trophies and willing to spend them then you can get faster loot, the tactic is similar to the current strat, but on top of spending all goblins for a 100k loot you are going to speend small amount of goblin and loot whatever you can from a 100k resource, so if your 15 goblin can grab 40k out of 100k you stop deploying goblin and declare surrender then go for the next one, if possible 5 archer to destroy TH that was outside so you don't loose as much trophies .... because when you spend minimum your troops production is still on going, meaning by the time you are going to hop on to next raid your goblins will be filled, with this you have no down time (waiting for troops production) and can keep raiding and stack gold up to few 100k in less then 30min. You will be the judge at the end of a raid to see if deploying is worth it or not.
Ayam now in the mist of lvling to T9 with whole lot more different tactic and new strat to learn on top of my experience. Hope you guys find this guide useful and have a great day in CoC.
