If the floor mat isn't fixed.... for organ type, the mat may slip over the pedal, causing slight nuisance and less feel. For suspended type, at full throttle, mat slips over pedal, driver decides to slow down and lifts foot over pedal, pedal got stuck by mat and remained depressed, car doesn't slow down, driver panics, crash.

QUOTE(yamato @ May 10 2014, 09:02 PM) had both, no major difference. only prob the suspended type isnt slippers/sandals friendly, slips alot. Ah yes that too. Only once did my foot ever slip on an organ type.... stepped on dog shit, didn't realised, sole becomes slippery.

QUOTE(butthead @ May 11 2014, 12:50 AM) Organ...better if all pedals come up from floor... Because your heel is the pivot...so should the pivot of the pedal be from the bottom instead of above Good argument. Ergonomics. Matching the tool (pedal) to the user (foot anatomy & ankle biomechanics).
