but it is any good? the previous tomb raider GB were widely acclaimed because they were original games, this one is just a dumb-downed version of the console game....i think safer to wait for the tomb raider anniversary remake.

gamespot gave it 7.6

There's always a chance that a gamer may or may not like a game despite what game websites might say about the game. If the game is good enough to intrigue me and in the case of this thread dedicated to cheap ori games (thats why i posted it up in the first place) , a good bargain...i would buy it..

You no need to know Japanese to get through some Japanese games. I went through Winning Eleven DS with some trial and error and a little help from a Winning Eleven fan.

Gamebrink.com has pretty good reviews on Japanese imports, and there's a mention in each review whether a game is import friendly (as in to non-Japanese speakers) or not.

Please keep the OT posts for the Kopitiam thread, and please do the same for the other threads as well. You either contribute or don't and if you want to OT, go to the Kopitiam thread. Thanks.

Back to cheap ori games. So far I see Yesasia.com offers better pricing for some of its games when compared to Play-Asia but the site doesn't have much of a comprehensive bargain bin as Play-Asia. It does pay to surf both sites though before making a decision.

If you are looking to purchasing a cheaply priced import (e.g. Japanese) title, look out for reviews or first hand looks on the particular game on websites such as Gamebrink, Modojo or Gonintendo, but please don't limit yourself to these sites. Research can determine whether what you are buying is a smart purchase or not.

So happy shopping, and keep the thread clean smile.gif
