Last time Banks were very lenient in giving Signature / Infinite Cards.

My Salary was not even 50% of the Annual Salary req for Signature but CIMB gave it to me but never used it so cancel.

Now I heard, very strict, cannot qualify to apply again.

For those who applied online, how long did it take you to get Approved and received the Card.

Applied beginning of the month together with Maybank. Already received my Maybank Card last week but until now, not even received any SMS that my application was approved.

Just received automated confirmation that application was received. With Maybank, within 3-days, received SMS that application was approved and Card within 1-week later

But with PB, no sound at all. PB service deteriorating. Just want their Card for Dining and Online CB.

Hmm, thanks for feedback. Will have to wait longer and figure out which Branch I want them to send to so that I can collect during lunch time, can find easy parking.

Okay, I applied through online and when I called I was told the same thing

So I said, in this case, I won't be using your Card anymore and cancel it before the expiry date

They gave me the activation CB immediately

There is no need to walk in to the Branch

All the T&C is there in PB Website

Maybank has improved their service by a lot in recent years

Public Card stil has long way to go. My EMV chip got spoil so I got replacement Card and got few options how to activate the card

1) Self Service - via SMS

2) Call in

I normally use Option 1 - got a return SMS that says, TQ for using SMS to activate your Card. It will take 3-working days

I was like

So I called the Number, spoke to a CS and told him what happened

The reply was that SMS Self Service needs 3-days, call in is immediate

Told them do you know how much biz Public loses in 3-biz days? Please fix your SMS activate to be immediate in line with your competitors

same thing with signature also. Even if signature does not match you have to pay if you report the card loss too late.
