Do what I do la -- steam frozen veggies in the microwave for a minute -- blend it up and then they will eat it. BabyBoy will eat his veggies whole or blended. Somedays, he'll leave a few bits and pieces here and there, somedays he'll finish it up. At least he's eating it la tongue.gif If you puree it, you can add with some yoghurt or stir it in with your glider mix la the first few times or maybe add a miniscule drop of honey. After that, Kiah might eat it just like that without any additional stuff. Hehe.

Wow your SG is real lucky. Can babysit mine in December?

I don't know if my SGs are finicky eaters. But they dont' really eat much. Quite worrying. They would only eat a small cube of mix at night. Lately they have been cleaning their bowl but if I give them more... they don't finish it.

Usually feed them fresn fruits in the morning but it seems that they would only eat a few pieces at a time.

It is very easy to nail anything. U just get a wooden plank, then spread whatever that you want to nail, take a couple of nails and hammer, start hammering the nails into the plank through the target specimen. Walla!!!!

I think it will be really nice and interesting if you want to preserve your glider via nailing. U just spread it out and nail it to the wooden plank. Leave it out to dry and walla, u have a great stuffed/preserved animal!!!!

Good luck!!!

Well, I notice that most days BabyBoy only wants his mealworms in the afternoon and nothing else (maybe yoghurt somedays). He eats and cleans his plate at night. I leave it out for him at midnight and by morning, he's finished it up. So he takes the whole night to eat it la. What are your feeding times like? I don't know but maybe you can try to put them on the same schedule everyday -- that is, feed their mealworms late morning and then don't feed them anything else for that day but during nighttime, give them their full plate of food la -- two different types of fruits -- (i cut mine into small cubes and give them a big tablespoon of it) -- a tablespoon of the mix -- and if you want, you can try to blend the frozen veggies or well, just give them a bit more of the fruits. Veggies would be good though. Since you have two gliders, it should be more than that (since that's the portion i give one glider) but maybe start out by giving a little less than that la for everything -- if they clean their plate out, then try to give them more. Then you know how much they eat. I find that if you cut the fruits into small cubes then they tend to eat more of everything on their plate. Try it la. tongue.gif Hehe hope it'll work somehow. It took me a couple of days (trial and error) to understand his eating habit and also to make him get used to it la. Mealworms I don't give at night -- only in the afternoon -- but if you have to work or you have school -- then feed it to them in the morning la. This way, they won't spoil their apetite for dinner. You can choose to give them their dinner at 9pm onwards or after midnight, depending on when they wake up. BabyBoy wakes up way after midnight everyday. Hehe why la babysit in December? Going somewhere? Now I'm so worried for BabyBoy -- because I'll be leaving in November to Australia so -- god knows la -- his eating habits and all might change. Will have to work on him again when I get back. But hopefully, he'll stay the same. laugh.gif

Oh and reason I don't feed him fruits in the morning/afternoon is because well, that's his nap time really and he'll only wake up for yummy mealworms and maybe one tiny dice of apple or a teaspoon of yoghurt. So nighttime is when he eats his full meal. laugh.gif And gliders have very tiny stomach, so don't worry that you're starving them before dinner time by doing this. I tried feeding BabyBoy more of the fruits in the afternoon, he just won't eat it so that's how I know he's not hungry at all la. All the best!

100Yen shop -- Midvalley Megamall -- Pusat Bandar Puchong (next to Tesco -- row of shops -- you can see it when you're passing by on the main road). I bought a few nice drawstring pouches from IOI Mall just two days ago. The price range for drawstring pouches is RM4-RM6.

You can also check at any gift shops -- those stores that sell bears and mugs and birthday gifts. They always have drawstring pouches there.

Hey Misa I tried looking for the 100Yen shop at Mid Valley to no avail, the directory say there is none. Is there any other shops closer to PJ? Puchong very far ler.

Oh and yes... I am going of to Australia for 2 weeks in December.. Would like to know that when I am gone, my critters will be okay. So I would love to have an experienced babysitter.

Last night Roscoe was being a rascal. I let him out of the cage to roam and he picked up everything on the floor to chew on! He puts everything into his mouth, even tried to climb into the dustbin sweat.gif He crawled all over the place, looks like an iguana walking. And the skipped around! So cute! Must have been happy to explore the room because he was also rubbing himself all across the walls. Is this scent marking? He did it quite a few times.

shakehead.gif Not THAT kind of nailing! What he meant was how to trim their nails coz it's very sharp.
Anyway, you can try using the "rodent wheel" method. Line the wheel with something that can file their nails and let your sg run inside for a couple of hours. Then remove the wheel coz too much trimming is bad.

Okay give me a few days -- I'll go to the 100Yen store in Puchong and find out where else they have the stores in Klang Valley etc. You're in PJ or KL? Worse comes to worse, if you want, I can help you get the pouch. Then maybe can meet up at Midvalley or something. See la -- hehe. Let me ask them where are their other shops first. Will keep you posted. I might go there this weekend.

Well, you can contact smellyocheese with regards to glidersitting. I'm getting her to take care of my glider when I leave for Australia next month. She has boarding facilities, etc. Your gliders will be well taken care of as she's totally experienced. tongue.gif

Lol! Yeah BabyBoy does the same thing. The other day, I was playing my guitar and he was on my shoulder then he stole my guitar pick from me and wouldn't give it back. He just held onto it with both hands and started chewing on it. Then he brought it into his pouch and until now he has it with him. Bad bad boy. laugh.gif

Well, the reason people trim the nails is because their nails are so sharp that they tend to hurt our skin when they're crawling all over us. But be careful when you trim their nails, just trim the very edge of it -- don't cut into the quick of the nail or it will bleed and it will be painful for the glider.

Don't have to trim it if you don't want to and if you don't mind their sharp nails. If they're tame, they usually don't dig into your skin that hard la. After awhile also, you'll get used to it.

With regards to the nail being tersangkut on a cloth or the pouch or anything -- be sure you always check your pouch and stuff, make sure the material is not the kind that can allow the nail to tersangkut in such a way that your glider will be stuck. Use fleece material la. That's good.

Now this is a glider i wanna keep.

It's about 25 times bigger than a sugar glider and snuggles in your arms like a small terrier. Also critically endangered. Just for anyone who doesnt know, there are 6 species of glider that look completely diff from each other, except for the sugar and squirrel glider which look similiar.

Misa, my gliders don't have twins. It looks like a single baby now that the bump is really big. Sigh... oh well. Glad to see babyboy is doing great! I think it's tamer than my gliders.

Wow shocking.gif that glider is super cool looking. A little scary though. Now I'm interested to find out what the other species of gliders look like. *goes to google 'em*

And aww ;0; just a single baby. It'll be cool if you get a female suggie since the last time you got two boys, right? tongue.gif

Hehe well, BabyBoy follows me everywhere so I'm glad that he's tame and he's easy to handle. laugh.gif
