These pictures are taken at one of KL's Very well known pet shop yesterday. The so called "Pets Wonderland" at the Mid Valley Megamall. These gliders are kept in very poor conditions without a hide or any towel/cloth in an air conditioned and very well lit area. Gliders by nature are shy and nocturnal creatures. They do not like bright lights and they need a hide for shelter, to keep warm and for a sense of security. The food that the gliders are fed with are cat food. Being a glider keeper my self, that really shocked me because Sugar Gliders are insectivores in nature. They eat insects, tree saps, fruits in the wild. Not cat food. These gliders can be seen with pee all over them. They're so soaked with their own pee until the point that they turn yellowish in colour. A few of them looked obviously sick but no medical help or treatment was seen. This really concerns me as a Sugar Glider lover, and this matter has caused an outrage among us exotic animal lovers. Me, behalf of the Sugar Glider keeping community hopes that some action will be taken against these pet stores. The Media is called in because of the ignorance of the responsible societies and NGOs. This letter is forwarded to The Malaysian National Animal Welfare Foundation, The Star Newspaper, The New Straits Times, The SPCA, and TV3 The Suger Glider Owners Community can be reached at "http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/321753" Yours Sincerely Well...you can see that of all the medias that this letter is sent to only The Star responded(by putting it in the letters section? , where is the pembongkaran edisi siasat style?) and the so called welfare foundations...none has responded. Those gliders are quickly transfered to Great Eatern Branch following the letter from the newspaper. and the MV branch is closed for renovation. the manager incharge of those gliders and pets wonderland mid valley is resigning, following a job offer at pets family as an operation manager. the gliders condition have not improved at all...the steps that this company has taken is not to imedietly improve the living condotions of them but to transfer then to another branch to avoid legal problems. SPCA has NOT replied to any of my mail.

The e-mail is absurd. taggyMY Moderator 1,874 posts Joined: Jan 2006 From: KUL, MY	i wanna slap him my self...i dint hear it. my friend told me. i still got ppl in pets wonderland thats on my side and supporting what i doing now. so thats how i get inside information. later mayb after CNY i will post a picture of a dog that they had back in 2006. taken in the vet room...its a chow chow...i think most of u will be shocked by how it looks like. also...whenever PWMV sends a dog over to 1U the dogs always have problems...joint and limb problems because their dogs dun get exercice...
