At first I was wonder wat was the small biji biji from Hun's glider's mix. Only i realised he did this to the ciku and papaya QUOTE(nugget @ Nov 13 2006, 06:38 PM) as glider also an animal with routine....if u everyday handfeeding...might posible he will refuse to eat any other than u hand feed him in the future... Huh? Got routine wan>? I simply play with my glider whenever I like dun care he awake or asleep pipol says minimum must play with glider for certain hours....but I find tht is the routine they set for the animal...once the animal get use to it...it became very very dependant on the owner....as in glider's farm...no body every play with the glider there...but they make $ n $ for the farm as all the baby are exported out.... this is just my opinion....pls correct nugget if any1 have a diffrent or maybe the correct idea...thanks.. |

QUOTE(misa @ Nov 13 2006, 07:02 PM) Whoa. Today BabyBoy bit my little brother on his butt -- it must have been painful because my bro cried. Funny thing was, he wouldn't let go and was just hanging there. Ouch! Waaah..ur bro try to sit on him or what? Or maybe your bro but taste like a jiucy watermelon And with regards to glider's stinking as they grow older, oh no, I hope it won't be that bad. BabyBoy's about 8months old now, I guess. But he still doesn't smell. His pee has a funny smell to it though -- it smells like something that's burning. I also hope my glider doesn't stink. Getting Febreeze ready. |

QUOTE(misa @ Nov 14 2006, 07:03 PM) Trim their nails when they're half asleep. With practice, you can finish the job in less than 5 minutes. If BabyBoy's in a super good mood, it can be done in 2 minutes flat. That's the time it takes to cut BabyBoy's nails -- all two feet and two hands. Before this, when I just started cutting his nails, it took me at least 30-40 minutes to finish the job. Patience... Wahh...u cut his legs as well? I dare not cut in case he needs the nails for climbing. But I've cut them yesterday, well only a small part, and it still hurts me. Hrm.... *massaging glider to sleep...* Edit: For fun, I trimmed his nails. And I started at 7:04 and now it's 7:09 lol xD; |

huhuhu..mine bit me today. This morning he's kind of cranky. Since he haven't bonded with me yet, shall I let him run free around my room? coz later he crabs or runs away when I try to catch him back to his cage. How else shall I bond with him since he likes to explore around and doesn't want to sit still?

I was too tired yesterday from working to catch my glider who was roaming the room. The fella climbed up the curtains and FLY!! Basically he was playing around alone and making a whole buch of mess in my room. Then when the sun rise, he started barking for no reason. Wonder why? Asking me to wake up?
When he finally shut up, I continue to sleep and when it's time to wake up, he's under my pillow sleeping. He still crabs.... |

QUOTE(Sugre @ Nov 23 2006, 02:48 PM) Hamster9, wow you let your SG roam the room when you are asleep? I have yet to let my SGs do that. They are too pesky and might get electrocuted biting some wire. QUOTE(joanalooidog @ Nov 23 2006, 05:47 PM) My SG usually likes to be at the soft headboard of my bed. Got once he did come near me and I was asleep. Been too traumatized by the previous house with flying cockroach, I would sweep anything away coming near me sub-conciously. Poor chiwek QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Nov 24 2006, 12:22 AM) ONly let your glider roam out once 100% bonded and know its name.... took me 3 months before I let Kiah out by herself. How ar? I really wanna know how to get this naughty boy to train his name.... he likes exploring so much. QUOTE(Sugre @ Nov 24 2006, 09:48 AM) Where are u going? I'm going to Hong Kong this coming Jan. If only the flight wasn't at midnight (chiwek's active hour) I could have bring him there as well. But then again.... QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Nov 24 2006, 10:25 AM) Takes time to bond. My method is hang your glider around your neck in your shirt every day.... then sure can wan. Last time Kiah also not friendly wan.... then coz she alone, she treat me as her friend and family. Now when she see me during her waking hours... will cry for me to let her out of her sleeping cage.... then sometimes bark while on me(that is funny). Hrm... I should have buy a cup extra bra to have him close to me Hahahah... really takes time lah. QUOTE(suiteng @ Nov 24 2006, 12:03 PM) Have you heard them miao before? miao? So far I heard he purrs when he gets his fave food. Like Brrr.... brrrr....I heard before, once only. Sounds like nyeuuuu... nyeuuu.... Then no more miao, just barking liao. Weird... only heard once. Chiwek is a greedy fellow. I once let him dip into a container of mealworms, one in his mouth, and one in each hand. But he respects his freedom and doesn't go invading the mealworm containers during his exploration around my room |

Love at first sight at Pet's Safari. So darn cute. The moment I got home I did my research everyday for a few weeks. Then a couple of weeks later I managed to find a good breeder/supplier and got my lovely Rene and Roscoe! I think they have to be the most adorable critters ever! Came back LYN forum, read posts here.. learn more about SG. Get poisoned here more and more. |

QUOTE(suiteng @ Nov 29 2006, 01:05 PM) Haha... lucky for some who get their gliders tamed beforehand. Mine was fierce!! But now, they sticku sticku to me Hrm.. I wonder how long would it take.. I've draw a conclusion on gliders... mine is a heavy sleeper, so no matter what I do, he would definitely sleep on my hand or somewhere I place him. Some other gliders won't. So I guess that's why I can cut my chiwek's fingernail But once he is fully sobered, he starts crabbing and biting. Out of 10 fingers 6 kena bite, 3 got blood. I wish mine will stick to me always... now at least he's asleep, he sticks to me. Heh..at least I've got a fren with me to go Old Town with me makan lunch just now...my chiwek... |
