Haha I like to drink that too! I didn't know that critters can take our drinks. So far I have only fed them fruit juices. Will try feeding them the yogurt drink tonight. Super happy because I managed to bring them to work today. Rene is super grouchy.

Oh is it possible to but Rene on a diet? She is a little on the fat side. Roscoe is okay though. And I can't limit the diet of one without limiting the other.

Last week i found that my male have killed and ate my female joey. both are the same age. I don't know what have happend to them that bring up the tragedy.

There're no wound to the female except the both eyes were gone, and the whole internal organ being suck out from it's mouth !!!(I presumed).

So sad that both of them were in progress of became tame. both are going well and they've mild bond with me. (Don't run away, don't bite, etc). but after the tragedy, the male became WILD and attemp to bite me if got any chance.

I've always spare a apple inside their 3ft cage. and my home got no potential predator...

WHY IT HAPPEND??? got any clue... .. and how on earth I can forgive and bond again wt the male...

So sorry to hear that. It is so unnatural though. Maybe they were not bonded to each other? Or the female may be sick thats why the male killed her? I heard that some animals do that when they sense that the other is unwell.

I don't know any other explanation. May your female SG RIP.

Yesterday I bought Dutch Lady Yogurt 0% fat Rasberry/Strawberry flavour. I put 2 teaspoon on a tray....My gollum loves it...thanks guys..now I am glad my SG is getting some calcium from there.....

Hehehe....but he is still very shy to come to my arm...have to slowly lure him there....then he would pee pee and poo poo...hahaha.....

Any yogurt is safe for gliders but next time try to find low fat or full fat yogurt. Well, gliders need a bit of fat and fat from yogurt is good for them.

Hahah... just to tell you guys... Kiah loves cheese... but then it is not advisable to give gliders cheese. I didn't give Kiah cheese, she stole it from my sandwich... naughty!!!

yer, I think your baby joey got preyed by some predator la... otherwise the defensive reaction of your male joey? sounds like he saw something happen and got frightened, or maybe he really did it...

till now he is stil very shy to come out...arhghhghg......every time lure him out...take the food...balik to the cage...

and he would stay in one corner at night...don't know what he is doing but he would like manja turn his body around and around...and lie down on his back....

These pictures are taken at one of KL's Very well known pet shop yesterday. i would not say where, but i think most of you will know. these gliders are kept in very poor conditions. without a hide or any towel/cloth in an air cond and very well lit area. the cage is smelly(they're kept in a cage inside a glass tank) but i can still smell those gliders. all of them looked very sick. a picture says a thousand words. i'm making a report to the SPCA... to see if any action will be taken against these pet store.

PS: sorry for the bad quality pictures. pictures taken with my PSP's Chotto shot in bad lighting conditions. after taking the pictures, i was indirectly told to leave the shop by one of its staff. the staff then went on to the office, most probly to speak to his manager. so i dont know if the condition's still like this today.

Edit: cant report in the SPCA forums. admin gotta verify my account? when the admin gonna be online...no report forms on the home site. a very apprent sign of bad management. also added some more pictures.

Wah... call SPCA straight. Another solution, call PERHILITAN or something and report about the mistreatingf of exotic animals. SPCA forum is dead. Also, the forum is run by a volunteer... not an officer. SPCA forum is for chatting lah, not to report incidents.
