which one of these do you guys think better for value? any maintenance issues? fuel consumption? roadtax issues? handling? what do you guys think?

price is not really a problem

Those two are from different classes right?
The Busa is more of a super tourer type thing, while the R1 being lighter is a super sportsbike.

If you want handling, take the R1. For outright acceleration and speed, and loads of torque, the Busa.

I use to own a busa and R1, still hav R1 with me. Busa is all about raw power on a straight with crazy torque, too heavy and turn like a bus and not to my liking.

R1 is very nimble, if liter bike is a tad too much, 600 is not a bad choice be it gsxr, kawa, cbr or r6.
