Hi guys, I just started playing few days ago, I'm in Tonberry server, however there's hardly anyone and barely anyone talking using shout or chats, I joined a FC over 300 members but they doesn't talk much either, before I play I did my research, almost all saying that Tonberry is the Asia English-populated server, so did I choose wrong or is there a more active server? I usually play at night and early in the morning

if u mean public chat. i think not many talk in public unless they shout for something.
usually ppl chat either in their own FC or a LS(LinkShell).
i dont see any problems in Tonberry tongue.gif

well...
more and more people are transferring to Tonberry.
There are Russians I met in Masamune are also transferring to Tonberry.
Hence I highly doubt you are in the wrong server

Perhaps, find a more social-able FC/LS

I just transferred to JP server Tiamat from NA server to improve latency/reduce lag effect. However i only play during JP day time which is dead with duty finder. I waited 3 hours for duty finder to fill up if i am lucky. So you guys know any JP server that has lotsa American player since they would be active during JP day time right?

The fact that i paid for the transfer makes me want to cry.

Usually a dps will have difficulty locating a valid party.
It's not dead. It's just that high numbers of dps were queving in df. But there were lesser tank queving. This is the flaw with df. First come first serve basis. You can try queving as a tank, its instant.
Another thing to take note , players rarely have time to chat in raid. Every role affects the party's performance greatly. If you have dps constantly eating avoidable aoe or debuffs, it will cause healers to be distracted and might make them die to aoe as well.

currently playing BRD on Hades and secondary character PLD on Tonberry server (i don't recommend Hades server unless u know japanese)

obviously you didnt joined the right FC. our FC chats in malay most of the time especially prime time 8pm - 1am GMT+8. u can find up to 40++ in party finder and more than half are in english language during this

There is an option of [J][E][X][X] on top of the duty finder that indicate your preference language. Make sure you tick on the E/J for shorter waiting time.

alright thank you so much for the answer guys! The duty finder is indeed abit slow for dps =.= I have to queue all four servers just to get it faster, if not I choose just (E) i have to wait at least 40mins to an hour, and maybe I joined the wrong fc cause people doesnt really talk much, any nice friendly malaysian fc recruiting?

Hey OP thank you for opening up the thread. I was really curious how strong the SEA community in Tonberry is but this thread really kicks the curiousity out.

I am planning to transfer to Tonberry by the end of this week because my static Coil team in Moogle is breaking up (FC dramas, elitism and such.. Orz).

its an unofficial SEA english server (other than masamune which is legacy server) so you could expect many english speakers/party in there.

i have my main character T9 in progress in other JP server (Hades) but also Lv50 PLD in tonberry. didnt transfer because i have a solid coil pt there.
but im going to clear T5 for my alt and get started on second coil soon

the economy isnt that bad if comparing with Hades fyi

Well yeah, I didn't know SEA players are porting in JP servers, so I just picked a server randomly in EU.

Bah.. Your static team must be OSOM. My team was struggling in T6 and downed it after godzillion tries (let's put it as 200 tries haha! laugh.gif )... Currently the remaining of the static members are pugging T7 and I am expecting more will leave the FC / server by the end of this week if the team leader fails to rejuvenate the team...

And also, waking up at 3 pagi 4 times per week just for raid is not even funny for le asian guy like me yawn.gif

meanwhile in tonberry i know some malaysian people doing the 2nd coil but yet still few of them doing T9

This is also something that I concern if I transferred to Tonberry. Like Balmung for example (one of my friend went there) said that the community is more casual-oriented and he had to transfer to other server because less peeps doing second coils.
