@ericmaxman, or anyone else, can someone help me?

I was trying to root with vroot to allow me to use titanium backup but somehow got my phone to get non-stop FCs with Phone Manager and other apps. So I went and downloaded the stock rom listed above B608【EMUI2.0】 but applying that ROM only changed my phone to a China region Honor 3C (firmware H30-U10 V100R001CHNC00B608) which doesn't recognize my Maxis SIM.

Does anyone have the original Malaysian ROM that he/she can share to me? My phone was running H30-U10 V100R001C900B108 before I tried to root it and got myself into this mess..

Thanks in advance.

Guys and gals,

Please be careful when trying to mod your phone's firmware. Let me share my experience with you. The issues were not due to the phone but actually user error smile.gif

1. Tried to root using vRoot (Chinese version) - successful
2. Found an English version of vRoot, tried to update - not successful, lost root
3. Factory reset - vRoot still in the phone, phone still unrooted, can't re-root.
4. Tried to load the stock rom from the first post - phone booted up fine, everything was working except that it was a China Unicom rom and could not detect my Maxis SIM anymore.
5. Finally gave up and sent my phone to the authorised service centre, SEMS, in Penang. Followed up with them after 3 days and they said they have ordered a new motherboard for my phone. ETA 7 working days.

Will be really careful once I get my phone back. biggrin.gif

rclxub.gif Dont simply flash the China's ROM, China 3C is telco locked version.................

I know that now, ha ha.

Anyway, I think that if Huawei had provided a downloadable copy of the Malaysian rom, I'd probably be able to flash to it without having to go back to the service center.

Lesson learnt, luckily my 3C is just a spare unit bought for me to evaluate my first Huawei/China Android phone..

I though Huawei promised One to One exchange within 6 months? It's stated on Vmall

I am not sure about this. The service centre lady did not mention anything about charges or warranty, so I am just laying low and waiting.
