QUOTE(aeiou228 @ May 22 2014, 09:19 AM) Some are still stuck in the past and don't know the latest development. Even revealing their "stuck in For 499, I have no complain.the past" identity by saying publicly they never trust made in China products, yet lurking around Xiaomi or honor thread getting info on how to buy the cheap china made phone. |

It have to go hand in hand, have a good product lousy service you get less complain, because not many send in to fix.
If Have a bad product, good service, less complain. If Have a bad product + bad service, no eye see. Not all asus product are bad, so far only the phones got complain, others like board, routers, notebooks are ok. |

Is LTE really necessary? Eveyone have unlimited Fast data plan? If using True LTE. LTE can support up to 10Mbps and that finish up data plan in just few hours.
HSPA so for sufficient for many usages, even youtube with 720 resolution don't have to wait. |

QUOTE(sotong168 @ May 23 2014, 07:37 AM) not that i know, but some smartphone already had LTE-A, Doing FULL HD Video conf on mobile? If you are doing 720p, 1.5Mbps download & upload are sufficient. 3G should be in that range. Of course with unlimited data LTE will be good. For 499 a pop, I can use this for 6 to 12months and go for upgrade later on with a better maybe same price phone.yup, bcoz of the upload spd esp for those want to do video conference |

QUOTE(salimbest83 @ May 23 2014, 07:16 AM) speaking of LTE.. its nice to have one. Having LTE is one, do our ISP provide enough backbone for international connection? And the channel sufficient for the subscriber? Just like having a mobile signal at Max, but can't call in or out.but with current quota in our country. i'd say let it be.. i will clean up my allocated quota in no time with LTE. btw.. using h+ ![]() download this 2 in 3-4 hours |

QUOTE(prosibu @ May 23 2014, 09:02 AM) Dun forget those users who are working with telco can hv unlimited data plan. I was on MNG corporate plan, the so call unlimited are capped after 3Gig, some are 5Gig, my colleague had a true unlimited data plan by Maxis, but they have capped that early this year. After reaching the quota it drop to EDGE connection. Working in Telco will have also free phones. And celcom prepaid users And those corporate plan that has unlimited data too. Just most of the users do not aware of the plan, doesn't mean no ppl is finding a cheap phone for lte-ing... It is important when users at congested area For example, i went for a concert at putra indoor stadium Used 3 telco for testing, maxis um dg All of them are considered dead for 3g n 2g But my fren who using Maxis 4g that time enjoying uploading video n pic on the spot.... After many move to LTE, it will be congested too, is just a matter of time. A RM 499 phone won't score 10 for all the features. |

QUOTE(sotong168 @ May 23 2014, 09:44 AM) 3.5G upload spd sux at my place (even i could get > 20Mbps download spd), 0.5Mbps upload spd is consider very good already, tried on android tango, ipad facetime. do some spdtest, i wonder how u can video conf smoothly on 720p on 3G Malaysia ISP & Telco just publish the ideal speed, and always over subscribe. Try using it mid night you will have better speed. I sometime work in odd hours and that give better speed. 500Kbps is consider good in day time. |

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ May 23 2014, 10:08 AM) Bro, the view for the need of LTE is very much depend on the age group of the poster. Yes, everyone have difference need, that is why got so many difference types of phone model and price. If at no extra cost why not.Younger generation usually chasing after the top spec to satisfy their intense curiosity when one was young. Me too when young Middle age generation think LTE is good to have but not a must have feature. Older generation would ask what is LTE ar ? Can eat or not For me, My maxis data plan is limited to 1GB, and my usage for mobile data plan is mainly for Whatsapp, FB, LYN, waze, google maps....no video, so just like you, having LTE is a bonus but not a must. |
