in short for 499RM it's a steal! off course it's not as good as flagship phones. IF you want something good as flagship phone and cheap.. wait and get one plus one which will be around 1k+ but for 500RM I can't complain. I think this phone is worth 799RM. But well lets wait and see as mine is just 1 day old. heh. FIrst impression are BIG thumbs up. I think people should get it on 21st may through vmall n etc before it retails for 700 or 800RM. Also I think this phone will have a very good resale value (y).

The price war actually started in China late last year between hongmi and honor and it spread over to SEA. As u can see, Xiaomi is very eager to bring in the even cheaper Redmi 1s as fast as possible to counter honor.

Use slider lor. But need to set an app. For me i set slide up to download for unlock phone but will go direct to download app but then juz press home or back button. If u really dont want to press that power button so many times la. I rarely use that power button. Double tap also ok.

yeah, some seller set the price to rm550. for me it is still okay. considering his fone is ready stock, can cod or poslaju, no need to wait for the phone shipping out from huawei. yet some people wanna buy the fone at rm499.. or as u said, even lower than that. they can wait for vmall if they wanna buy for rm499 only.. to cod or poslaju also need to consider fuel cost, money, time etc.

i believe, if there is a demand, there is supply. but those selling above rm550, can be considered as expensive la. but still up to the buyer, if he need that fone urgently, sure he willing to pay any amount for that fone.
