So, I am planning to upgrade my lens but...

I DONT KNOW WHAT TO BUY!
But, i came across a Tamron 18-200mm AF F3.5-6.3
Is this compatible with my Nikon D5200?
Should i get this or do you guys have any other suggestions?

Hi, that is a good versatile lens for all around photography task.
Imo the auto focus can be a bit sluggish tho (canon mount).
Read an extensive review on the net before made any purchase.

Yeah that lens works with the Nikon just make sure you get the nikon mount ver. of the lens. Is budget an issue that's why this lens? Because it does lack Image stabilization. Because for a super zoom its better to get the 18-270mm with VC. VC is image stabilizer which is needed in the longer focal ranges.

The Tamron AF 18-270mm Di II VC PZD has reviews that says its a quality travel super zoom. If you can find the old ver its cheaper but its bigger in size if you don't mind.

Or if you have the money then the new coming Tamron 16-300mm f3.5-6.3 Di II Macro VC PZD. That range just makes it a total versatile monster.

Just for normal outdoor shooting pretty much sounds you're shooting hand held 99% of the time. Which is why image stabilizer in the lens is recommended. You want to make sure hand shake issues are minimized. Maybe take a look at the Sigma 18-200mm OS.

Unless you love taking a tripod with you then image stabilizing isn't necessary anymore.

Should be no problems in the outdoor even on a cloudy day. But You probably have to learn very proper holding techniques and skills to shoot the long end in the indoors without camera shake.

If things do get challenging you can option to get a monopod.

Tamron 16-300mm got it beat on the wide side. Cheaper too. But he already stated his budget can't afford it.

Although I don't know what his budget is but I still think saving up for something like this the old ver of the tamron 18-270mm VC would be much better investment:

You're buying a lens to keep for a long time so paying a little bit more for the right lens seems smarter. The reviews for this lens are all very positive for a super zoom.

do be aware that super tele also has its issues.. Poorer Image Quality, and most annoying.. its weight and size.. do think over this very carefully or it will end up in the bottom drawer instead of being use more often.

Actually, even now i'm not using my camera often..
The reson i bought it was for travelling uses.. Then last time i tried taking pics and video at my sister's dance competition.. I wasn't even able to zoom in to get a good view of her..
So, i was thinking of getting a superzoom so i can get a good shot of buildings or landscape further away
