if someone asking for your passport sized photo to be send through email, what size should it be?

i mean in terms of pixel size

i don't think it's a problem for them.

just send a headshot - passport pics.

they will resize it.

but if i were you, will send around 600 px size. vertical

In order for you to make quality photo prints you will need 300 pixels per inch (ideal) with 200 pixels as a minimum. The Malaysian passport size is 35mm x 50mm or 1.4 x 2.0 inches.

So just to be safe, you can resize it to 600 x 300 pixels @ 300dpi. smile.gif

ok so there is no "standard size" is defining digital passport size photo as long as the picture is high res is good enough right?

Yea, just follow the guideline of 300 pixels per inch and you'll be able to get a High-Res Picture! smile.gif

just make sure the correct margin between top of ur head to top-edge of picture.

oso left right margin.

Depending on what purpose.
If to apply job, I believe they just want a picture of you, headshot till shoulder length picture.
To put in your resume, or application form.
N need so particular about pixel, but make sure the image is clear.

in email it doesn't matter much as pointed out by some above. they just wanna take a good look at u when the HR screen applications because picture is the first that makes impression (sadly). they will want a hardcopy or two later when u go in for interview
