Any taikos here working in MMHE?

would like to ask experience for working in there...

I got an offer as the epsilon trainee. i understand that mmhe is more towards fabrication works but i prefer a field operation type of jobs.

I would like to know that is that possible to move to field jobs after completing the training??

It is a great chances for me to gain experience as im a fresh grad but if i sign the contract I will be working in mmhe for at least 4yrs.

Hi. I'm not a taiko, but I work in MMHE sweat.gif . From my experience looking at the current batch of Epsilon trainees, they will have a number of 3 months rotation across different parts of the business which includes Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management. You will be assessed and you will also give assessments to the departments where you are placed so this will ensure that the departments will give you some sort of training or on-the-job experience as this will be part of their KPI. Towards the end of the programme, once you have a tendency or preference to certain departments, you will probably be stationed there. However, this will also be based on your performance throughout the programme.
If you aspire to be in field operations, you might want to join the hook up and commissioning department where you will have the highest chances to go offshore.

notworthy.gif thanks taiko.

thats wat the hr explain during the briefing dat day. I am still considering the offer but since now got no other offer. For other MNC application might take a long time to process. The program will start nex month n i havnt find living place yet.. sweat.gif

No worries. Rental in the Pasir Gudang area is still affordable. The cheapest would be to stay in MMHE Flat which you can only apply after joining the company but in my personal opinion, the living condition there is not very condusive.
In accepting the offer, you will risk being bonded by MMHE and not being able to accept better offers that might come in the future..but..it is always better than being jobless thumbup.gif

anyone heard about this company before?---> innovative oilfield services (formerly known as corro-shield)...this company did set up a career booth in utp couple months ago....recently i received a call from this company....it's about the field engineer position....this company provides corrosion prevention/pipeline rehabilitation etc. services to offshore platform....specially in splash zone area up to the riser in the platform (areas which is reachable by seawater) ....

let say i use this job experience to apply for upstream job in future( for example: field engineer trainee position in drilling/completion/wireline etc.), will this job experience enables me to land myself a upstream job in future? will HR appreciates my extensive amount of time spending mainly on offshore platform(3-4 weeks on/1-2 weeks off)?

i seriously need some career advise....

tq

Hi, I have a friend who used to work in Corro Shield for close to 2 years and later got a job as Field Engineer with Schlumberger. So it is possible.
