Hi everyone. I am kind of new here. I enjoy reading all discussions from otai otai here. Actually just wanna seek some advice and any chance for me to further my career in oil and gas industry? I have working experience in various sector in marine and oil and gas (both downstream and upstream) for 3years++.

Start with marine industry by sailing with shin yang shipping as cadet engine, after end of contract for a year, got offered from muhibbah marine engineering as project coordinator for ship repair division and working in shipyard environment, then make a hard decision jump to oil and gas industry by further study at INSTEP and undergoes ITA at gas processing plant with petronas gas berhad for 6months, waiting for job offer from petronas but no good news. And then, start seeking for other job until got offered from slb as mwd field specialist trainee. Almost 7months in slb.

Really need advice from otai otai because my aim just wannabe a production technician since i made my decision to jump to this industry. Already apply to many operator companies (pcsb,murphy,petrofac,chess,hess,newfield,exxon,talisman,coastal energy, etc..) but still no luck. Most of the operators seeking for experience technician.

Psst: I'm not seeking for high paid salary. Worklife balance just my priority since oil field service company doesnt provide fixed schedule for worker (especially for drilling sector). Eventhough I realize mlwd FS position has good career prospect which can lead me to become DD and know more about petrophysics, geomechanics and etc,but i still aimming for production technician.
