HI all...

I am glad to find a common forum for the O&G here.

I have been working in an international drilling service provider for 7 years, doing upper completions, mainly Smart completions. I have been more of a hands on person, more of a field specialist preparing and doing installation of downhole tools: gauges, safety valves, flow control valves, hydraulic packers etc,,

My goal is to carve a career into an operator as a Completions Engineer, or a Completions supervisor.
Can anyone please advise me what I should do, or anyone who is already at the position can share how they got it (experiences, skills etc...)

Thanks

Dayang in miri seems to be a pretty good workplace. Have a friend doing intern there and enjoying the working experience.
But am not sure what services they would provide that is suitable for a fresh university grad,,
These days university grads don't make it out in the field,, they would just quit and prefer to sit in a comfy office in KL.
I have had trainees who keeps complaining, and not able to accept the shit, just give up. Hopeless....
My advice is if u cannot roll your sleeves and get hands on and work for a tough demanding environment, don't waste your time and
come in complaining how you are overqualified to do the things people in the oilfield needs to do.
