Sorry for this long long question ya, but i know this is the only place that has professionals that knows the engineering market 
I am an engineering student who is sponsored by a company to study in an university. i would say that my academic results is above average and i involved in a lot of events and clubs activities.

So recently I was bothered by my future. FYI, I have undergone a practical training with the company that sponsor me (a quite reputable palm oil plantation-based company) during my sem break and for the coming internship, I am sure that i will be called to undergo my internship there.

However, as a student from this university who has great connection with OnG companies, I also stand a high chances of entering OnG companies, and I know that OnG has far higher pay and more benefit to employees.

I am hesitating right now. the main factor that I am seeking at now are High pay/Attractive bonuses, Career development (climb up the ladder) and networking. But I am also interested to know if staying in palm oil factory for years is a good investment for a high pay job in palm oil field.

Good to have a Malaysian drilling training center. Hopefully can boost drilling personnel in near future. But one of their rig now equipped with people from 'bollywood' and keep calling their people to come working on the rig..

I just got called from Murphy to attend the graduate engineer interview. Did any of you here got an interview experience with Murphy?

The first round interview is with HR right? Mind to share what need to be prepared? Coz i just got called for an interview this Monday.

If i'd wanna rate mudcooler service company (in term of wellfare/work condition/working environment) i'd say

1-Scomi 2-Antamahir 3-GeoPremium

For career progression, not much to say, hard to jump to other ship. Maybe you can jump to shale shaker/ solid control but to become mud engineer i think is a bit hard.

Inner working environment for geopremium i'd say, a bit racist (heard that they always prioritize sending chinese offshore), you gonna be actually half engineer half technician. But the pay is good coz many of the project is actually oversea. So rig bonus is in USD   

And lastly, no i'm not in any of those company and im not working as a mud cooler engineer.

Seems like PRW is on hiring mode across all depts.

Any offshore field engineers here? Im trying to compare my package which is one day time off per 5 working days offshore. So basically 1 month full offshore bout 6 days time off only.. How bout you guys?

Not with either of them, am with the main operator of the two gas plants in Karratha. Not really a big company like Petronas however.

I spend more time in the other plant which is older and more interesting things to see *If you get what I meant*

I know I am still enjoying the temperature there right now as it's winter over here. Can't imagine how its going to be like during summer.

Hmm, did a degree locally over there and ended up getting sponsored by them in their graduate program. Very lucky I have to say.
