QUOTE(camel_active @ Jul 3 2014, 11:45 PM) The company not stable yet bro. My frens said, they post tender buletin every week but no one apply for the position. Beside that, what happen before this give bad reputation to them. The staff want to go out a.k.a resign, and no one want to work with them. I see. My friends in PRW told me about this hiring. I am not sure if they have projects coming but they sound desperate. |

QUOTE(camel_active @ Jul 4 2014, 12:55 PM) bro, if i'm not mistaken they have 3 project coming, 2 for short terms and 1 for long terms - this project client give to them as trial, & they can stop work anytime they want. as u said, they really desperate because now eventho they got the project, they still doing their downsizing exercise. & they didnt have enuf staff to execute the project. + they shud proven to client dat they have capabilities to execute the project but they didnt have staff to do it. From what I heard, due to downsizing, PRW can no longer bid for projects in Malaysia due to lack of local content (less Malaysians, more expats). Based on my last project with them, almost everyone in the weekly progress meeting are expats. Some are OK, but some are not.during downsizing before this, they terminate mostly malaysian employee, & because of dat, all malaysian dat didnt involve before want to resign & jump to another company. |

QUOTE(xmastermind7 @ Jul 21 2014, 03:51 AM) just a quick really2 noob question. Can anyone apply for Bosiet? what is the requirement? Besides from engineering field or related to oil and gas, those with different qualification can apply for offshore related courses i.e. Bosiet, huet etc? I'm thinking of shifting off from current field Prior to BOSIET, you must pass Medical Check-up for Offshore. Anyway, having a BOSIET will not give you any significant advantage. |

QUOTE(xmastermind7 @ Jul 22 2014, 12:31 AM) Money is not the issue here. Is there any skills needed to work for this field? Depending on your background - lots of options. I mean is there any certificate level can be learned? I've got degree but not to keen to pursue for diploma nor degree. Im looking for certificate level in any field that allows me to work for this field. For example, you can take Confined Space certificate. After completed minimum working experience, you can go for Authorized Gas Tester course which enable you to be an AGT. |

QUOTE(wanfauzan @ Jul 22 2014, 10:39 AM) It may in some urgent cases. Now tapis r (mmhe commissiomning) is looking for instrument commissioning tech urgently to go to offshore on 26th July. One must have bosiet due to short notice How would this example comparable to the situation where he wants to take BOSIET and hoping to land an opportunity without any certificate or relevant working experience? |

It was reported that there was a fatal accident happened at Rig E-104 (Chemingat Rig? anyone?). 2 crews were working on the life boat when the life boat suddenly fell off 35m onto the sea. Both were found dead by the rescue team.

Most people roughly know what happened but to find the root causes it will go through a proper investigation which will involve many personnel including representative from the client.. Stay safe, guys. |

Yeah, Murphy sold its PM blocks to Pertamina for $2b. Their SK blocks are doing pretty well. |

VSS is everywhere now. I wonder why people outside O&G either want to join O&G or think we ride unicorns to office.
