I don't have engineering background. Thanks

Received same email, I applied for BHe Brunei. Same position.
UPDATE : 9 questions, and I f***ed it up pretty badly.

Questions 1-7 were all about challenges faced etc. etc. Last 2 about why you want to work in baker hughes

I wasn't used to looking into a camera at all, I just didnt feel comfortable, ended up stuttering and using the wrong words. Guess imma continue buildin' that god damned MRT.

Usually there is a trick to uncomfortable experience in any situation, next time try squeezing your left hand hard till it hurts a little. We generally get more control over ourselves when we feel pain. It will also regulate your heart rate as well. Having a cup of water also will be good, if you are in blank or panic mode just request for some time to drink some water.

Thank you, I went through it and received their email last week on the confirmation of candidacy. I was just curious on the status since Hali just bought BHI recently on a deal.

No worries, keep on working on the MRT. Soon when the tender for Singapore-KL train is awarded , jump into the company that won the tender, learn as much as you can.
Oil n Gas business is experiencing their gloomy days I must say. Lots of Merger and Acquisition happening, not saying that it is bad, but there is an uncertainty on what gonna happen in a year from now if the oil price is in the current level.

Nothing much to learn as I'm on Power Supply/Distribution side. Rail Traction systems are similar, only exception is whether the traction power is 25-32kV AC or 750/1000V DC. In addition, my boss is a mess, all his subordinates/my colleagues are bailing out, hence me finding for a different industry to jump to.

Anyways, how long did it take for you to get the email after the Hirevue interview? I still haven't lost all hope yet.

for people in the industry, this is not uncommon thing. biggrin.gif
more experience Sr. DSV, more higher day rates. Especially those DSV in Ultra deepwater rigs (Semis, Drillships).

One Sr. DSV on our rig last time was getting USD2500/day. biggrin.gif

maybe we can continue this in the PM.
Received invitation for intvw 29-oct-14, i did it on the same day. and received another email stating my status on the 20-Nov-14. The results whether I make the cut or not will be announced in December, based on the last email from BHI.

Good luck to both of us.

Hi guys. Im a Marine Coordinator for O&G Contractor Company. This is my first job (almost a year) as I graduated as E&I Engineering from local Uni. I feel that this job didnt have any career prospect/development. Before taking the job, I thought that this job is more technical-job, but ends up, charter vessels and dealing with clients/vendors.

What do you think? Pls advise

Drillers seem to be on top of the pile.

I know one drilling supervisor earning close to RM200k/month for a year's contract. Phew! blush.gif
