DLS UR36S is warm and good on the vocal side... like them more than the focal which is more bright and to me it is quite harsh... focal most recommended to use warm amps... genesis would be a good pair i think...

both are great SQ component though...

Possible to UR36S to receive power from HU itself? Or advisable to install a 4 channel amp for optimum power output?

I prefer DLS UR36S more than Focal one...
I love the vocal from DLS but dislike Focal too dry and bright...!
DLS can match with Steg, DLS A4 & ARC Audio...

I reckon DLS doesn't need much power for fantastic sound. Can power from HU alone? If I were to invest in an amp, 2-channel is preferred. Any brands to recommend? Not too high-end.. pocket aint that deep.. sad.gif

HU power is LOW, high THD
u better stick with some normal comp set if u wanna use HU power for the comps
totally wasting the comp set if u r powering it with the HU
moreover it actually need around 200w rms for the UR36s and around 100w rms for the K2P ...passives setup

What are the major differences between DLS R6A and UR36s except pricing? If I were to install R6A, which brand model would be a perfect companion for her?

It'll still be best to get an external amplifier when you use aftermarket speakers as that'll only bring out the best in them wink.gif
