Yeah why not. RM150 should be enough to get an XP-90 which will be perfectly fine for cooling down your CPU.

Hell, if you're lucky you might find a Scythe Ninja at the Garage Sales for that price. Ask arj if he still has one.

juz top up another rm10 to rm160 and get Gigabyte G Power Pro at bulk section. It's a very good cooler. If u have more money, try XP 120 Ultra or scythe ninja plus. Scythe Ninja Plus is really really good for cpu cooling esp in non air con room.

For ur budget, Gigabyte G Power Pro will do.

I was in similar situation as you last time. Mind telling us what model is your CPU (830/930) ?

1)
It *may* be possible that one of the legs of the HSF not fit perfectly, so that the HSF contact with CPU die is not perfect.

2)
Also (can't trust shops nowadays) is the rear fan exhausting air OUT of the case, or blowing it IN?

Just trying to save you some $$$ in case one of the above is true...50+ on stock HSF for a Centurion 5 not so good ya...

Try reading Air Cooling thread, got lots of ppl data on various coolers.
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=294922

Just to note, Hyper L3 is small cooler, is a low-noise replacement for stock HSF, not really for cooling, esp. pentium D . I have a L3 i use on my Celeron, no extra cooling compare to stock hsf, but is low noise.

Another bro in Air Cooling thread use CM Aero4 his temps can fry egg oredi...

nt really, hyper L3 efficiently replace the stock hsf at low fan speed... quite nice...
